Methods for treating urinary stress incontinence
Methods for treating urinary stress incontinence by non-invasively delivering energy to one or more submucosal regions of vaginal tissue to induce remodeling within the vaginal tissue are provided. In some embodiments, the energy delivery results in heating of the target tissue to a temperature that ranges from about 38° C. to about 46° C. In some embodiments, the subject methods involve cooling a mucosal epithelial layer over the vaginal tissue. In some embodiments, a reverse thermal gradient is produced as the mucosal epithelium is cooled while energy is delivered to the underlying vaginal tissue.
ESTHETIC APPARATUS USEFUL FOR INCREASING SKIN REJUVENATION AND METHODS THEREOF
An integrated system for increasing skin rejuvenation of a region of a patient's skin and treating subcutaneous fat associated with the region is provided. The system includes at least one first applicator having one or more RF electrodes adapted to be placed on the region of the patient's skin without penetrating the skin. At least one of said RF electrodes is configured to apply RF energy to the region of the patient's skin to heat up to a temperature in a specified temperature range. The system also includes at least one second applicator, in communication with an optical system. The optical system includes at least one laser source and is adapted to provide homogeneous illumination to the skin surface to effect at least one target tissue at a given depth range and power density range.
Hemodynamic parameter (HDP) monitoring system for diagnosis of a health condition of a patient
A hemodynamic parameter (Hdp) monitoring system for diagnosing a health condition of a patient and for establishing Hdp marker values or Hdp surrogate marker values for purposes of comparison with Hdp values of a patient is provided. An Hdp monitor senses, measures, and records Hdp values exhibited by the patient during a basal or non-exposure period and furthermore Hdp values exhibited by the patient during or after an exposure period during which the patient is exposed to low-energy electromagnetic output signals. An electrically-powered generator is adapted to be actuated to generate said low-energy electromagnetic carrier output signals for exposing or applying to the patient such output signals during said exposure period.
MULTI-MODALITY SKIN TREATMENT DEVICE
A skin treatment device includes a control unit and a hand tool. The hand tool includes a body, a wiper head, and a needle roller head. The wiper head includes a rotatable wiper structure including one or more wiper blades. The needle roller head includes needle roller structure. The skin treatment device provides a multi-step process including desincrustation, skin transdermal delivery of topical agents, serums, and the like, microdermabrasion, and fractional micro-channeling application.
Rejuvenating Beauty Care Tool for Skin and Body
A rejuvenating beauty care tool for skin and body is an apparatus that enables the user to treat different skin and body areas using different therapeutic and cosmetic techniques. The apparatus may include a handle, a first arm, a second arm, a plurality of first rollers, and a plurality of second rollers. The handle enables the user to comfortably operate the apparatus using only one hand. The handle also supports the first arm and the second arm when the first arm and the second arm are pressed against the user's body. The first arm presses the plurality of first rollers against a first target body area. Likewise, the second arm presses the plurality of second rollers against a second target body area. Further, both the plurality of first rollers and the plurality of second rollers enable the application of the desired cosmetic or therapeutic treatment onto the target body areas.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF GENERATING HIGH VOLTAGE VARIABLE FREQUENCY ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION
In a high voltage, variable frequency radiation generation system, a carrier signal supplied to a primary coil of a transformer is varied, e.g., turned ON and OFF at variable frequencies. The ON duration and/or the average amplitude of the carrier signal may also be varied. Moreover, the carrier signal may be modulated using an audio signal. The parameters to control the variation of the carrier can be provided as a recipe via a software application. A server can provide different types of apps providing different control features. The server may also collect user characteristic data and recipe usage data, and may facilitate exchange of these data and may recommend recipes based on a particular user characteristic.
DAMAGING CANCEROUS CELLS UTILIZING RADIO FREQUENCY WAVES IN HEATING WITH HEATING ENHANCED BY INFUSION OR INJECTION OF GLUCOSE
A method for killing or damaging cancerous cells in a living body comprising introducing glucose or other organic material as a biasing component into heating cancerous cells for purposes of destroying the cancerous cells with a second method of heating, such as by bombardment of energy from an external electromagnetic source, so as to raise the temperature of the tumor or cancerous cells to a degree that they are damaged or expire.
Reducing Electrosensation Whilst Treating A Subject Using Alternating Electric Fields
When treating a subject using alternating electric fields (e.g., using TTFields to treat a tumor), some subjects experience an electrosensation effect when the alternating electric field switches direction. This application describes a variety of approaches for reducing or eliminating this electrosensation. More specifically, during the course of treatment using alternating electric fields, additional electrical signals that reduce the subject's sensation are applied during each of a plurality of time intervals, and these additional electrical signals interact with the relevant nerve cells to reduce the sensations.
DEVICE INCLUDING RF SOURCE OF ENERGY AND VACUUM SYSTEM
A method of treating a patient includes providing an applicator to the patient to provide a treatment. The applicator includes an electrode to provide an electromagnetic field and a cavity to provide flow of air to provide pressure treatment. The electromagnetic field is applied with a frequency in a range of 0.1 MHz to 300 MHz to provide heating to the patient. The pressure treatment provides a massage to the patient.
Method for the treatment of gallstones
There is provided a method for controlling the movement of bile and/or gall stones in the biliary duct. The method comprises gently constricting (i.e., without substantially hampering the blood circulation in the tissue wall) at least one portion of the tissue wall to influence the movement of bile and/or gallstones in the biliary duct, and stimulating the constricted wall portion to cause contraction of the wall portion to further influence the movement of bile and/or gallstones in the biliary duct. The method can be used for restricting or stopping the movement of bile and/or gallstones in the biliary duct, or for actively moving the fluid in the biliary duct, with a low risk of injuring the biliary duct.
