A cooling assembly includes an air mover and a vent panel coupled to the air mover. The vent panel includes an inlet. The cooling assembly includes a vane that is rotatable around a central vertical axis of the vane between an open position and a closed position to open and close the inlet.

Gas turbine engine vane end devices

A turbomachinery component of a gas turbine engine is disclosed having a number of techniques of reducing the effects of a gap flow between an airfoil member of the gas turbine engine and a wall of the gas turbine engine. The airfoil member can be variable and in one form is a variable turbine vane. In one embodiment a brush seal is included between the vane and the wall. In another form a wear surface is disposed between the vane and the wall. In yet another form a moveable member capable of being actuated to change position can be disposed between the vane and the wall to alter the size of a gap between the two.

NOISE REDUCTION METHOD OF A VENTILATOR
20220120290 · 2022-04-21 ·

A noise reduction method of a ventilator, comprising the following steps: S1 starting a ventilator and imputing a required wind pressure d at a man-machine interface, and then sending a signal to an actuator through a processor, and adjusting a first blade automatically to a maximum adjustable angle state a′° through the actuator and a second blade to a minimum adjustable angle state b°; S2 regulating a revolution speed, when a wind pressure is d, feeding back a revolution speed c, a conducting noise e.sub.1 and a radiated noise f.sub.1 to the processor through an acquisition device, and after the processor receives a revolution speed information, sending a command to lock the revolution speed to the actuator through the processor. The present disclosure can effectively solve the poor noise reduction function of the present noise reduction hoop, and can effectively reduce the cost and simplify the installation process.

Direct-drive fan system with variable process control

Embodiments of a direct-drive fan system and a variable process control system are disclosed herein. The direct-drive fan system and the variable process control system efficiently manage the operation of fans in a cooling system such as a wet-cooling tower or air-cooled heat exchanger (ACHE), HVAC systems, mechanical towers or chiller systems.

Signal processing for variable geometry mechanism control

Herein provided is a signal processing device for use in an aircraft engine with a variable geometry mechanism (VGM) and associated systems and methods. The signal processing device comprises a processing unit and a non-transitory computer-readable memory communicatively coupled to the processing unit. The memory has stored thereon computer-readable program instructions executable by the processing unit for: obtaining a VGM position request signal; determining whether a variation of the VGM position request signal is within a predetermined range; when the variation of the VGM position request signal is within the predetermined range: filtering the VGM position request signal to reduce a level of noise in the VGM position request signal; and transmitting the filtered VGM position request signal; and when the variation of the VGM position request signal is not within the predetermined range, transmitting a processed signal, based on the VGM position request signal.
