NECKLACE-TYPE FAN
A necklace-type fan includes: a necklace part which has a curved tube shape, and has a plurality of wind blowing holes formed in a longitudinal direction of the necklace part; a wind generation part which has an interior being in communication with the necklace part, and has a fan installed to pump the wind into the necklace part; and a control unit which adjusts a rotational speed of the fan, wherein the wind introduced through the wind generation part is discharged through the wind blowing holes while being changed in intensity by the control unit.
Turbomachines with Decoupled Collectors
Turbomachines such as air dynamometers are disclosed that include a radial outflow compressor and gas collector. In some examples, the gas collector is designed as a separate component that is coupled to the machine, such as coupled to a frame. In some examples, the collector and frame are intentionally spaced and coupled at discrete points to minimize the transfer of mechanical and thermal energy therebetween. Aspects of the present disclosure also include turbomachines that include at least one impeller bypass flow path for the direct transfer of air between ambient and a location in the collector downstream of the impeller blades. In some examples, such flowpath(s) may allow for the inflow of external ambient air into the collector.
VENTILATOR ARRANGEMENT, FAN FLAP CONFIGURATION AND RELATED CONTROL CABINET
A fan arrangement has a plurality of fans arranged in parallel to each other and configured to generate airflow along a common main flow direction. A flow channel is assigned to each fan, and a respective flow channel has a flap that can be swiveled between an open position and a closed position. The flap is constructed and positioned within the flow channel in such a way that it is supported by the airflow in the open position and brought into the closed position by a reverse flow opposing the airflow. This arrangement reliably prevents a fluidic short circuit in the event of failure of individual fans, and ensures natural draft convection in the event of failure of all fans. The flap is constructed in such a way that it is brought into the open position when no air is flowing due to its intrinsic weight.
INTERSTAGE CAPACITY CONTROL VALVE WITH SIDE STREAM FLOW DISTRIBUTION AND FLOW REGULATION FOR MULTI-STAGE CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSORS
Centrifugal compressors can incorporate a side stream flow of intermediate pressure vapor between stages of that compressor. The side stream flow can be controlled by a side stream injection port controlled by a capacity control valve that has a curved surface facing a flow of refrigerant from the first stage to the second stage. The capacity control valve can allow or obstruct flow through the side stream injection port. The capacity control valve can extend and retract in a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of flow from the first stage impeller to the second stage impeller. The side stream injection port and the capacity control valve can be ring-shaped. The side stream injection port and the capacity control valve can allow at least some of the side stream to be introduced on a side of the capacity control valve opposite the curved surface.

MECHANISM FOR SELECTIVELY OPENING/CLOSING A VEHICLE WASH COMPONENT INLET OPENING
A dryer assembly for a vehicle wash system for emitting high velocity air onto a vehicle exterior includes a housing having an air inlet and an outlet. The air inlet is in communication with a motor assembly having an operating and a non-operating mode. The assembly also includes a gate mechanism in communication with the air inlet. The gate mechanism includes a plurality of pedals that are each pivotable between a first position and a second position. The gate mechanism is in communication with a controller, which directs movement of the plurality of pedals from the first position where the plurality of pedals surround the inlet opening such that air can flow into the housing and the second position where each of the plurality of pedals covers a portion of the inlet opening such that in their entirety the plurality of pedals obstruct the inlet opening to prevent air for flowing into the housing.
THROTTLE VALVE FOR A CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSOR
A throttle valve for a centrifugal compressor includes a body having a central passage and one or more diverter flow paths. The central passage is formed by an inner surface of the body, each diverter flow path has an inlet and an outlet, and the one or more diverter flow paths are configured to induce a swirl within a fluid flow through the central passage while a portion of the fluid flow passes through the one or more diverter flow paths. The throttle valve also includes at least one blade disposed within the central passage. The at least one blade is configured to direct the portion of the fluid flow to the inlets of the one or more diverter flow paths while the at least one blade is in a partially open position.

First and second towers may discharge air. An airflow guide or converter may change a direction of the air discharged from the first tower and the second tower by moving a gate inside and outside of at least one of the first or second towers so as to block discharged air flowing forward and selectively facilitate an upward air flow. The airflow converter may include a guide motor to provide a driving force, the gate, which may reciprocate between the inside and the outside of the first and/or second towers; and a board guider connected to the gate to transmit a driving force of the guide motor to the gate as a linear motion force.

OPTIMIZING THE PERFORMANCE OF ELECTRICAL SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS (ESP) IN REAL TIME
A system and method for controlling an electrical submersible pump (ESP) of a well, including a processor and a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that when executed by the processor cause the processor to perform operations. The operations include obtaining a well model corresponding to the well, obtaining a target well rate for the well, then receiving, from one or more data sources associated with one or more components of the well, operational data associated with the ESP operating at the target well rate within the well, determining a target efficiency of the ESP at the target well rate based on the well model, and then modifying, based on the operational data and the target efficiency an operating characteristic of the ESP.
