Industrial control system for distributed compressors

A method for operating a plurality of geographically distributed compressors, wherein the outputs of the geographically distributed compressors are coupled to a compressed air distribution system within an industrial automation environment, is provided. The method includes receiving performance data from the plurality of compressors, and receiving current environment data from a plurality of sensors within the industrial automation environment, including at least some sensors within the compressed air distribution system. The method also includes assigning a guide vane weight to each compressor based at least in part on a capacity of each compressor, identifying a target system air pressure, and processing the performance data, current environment data, guide vane weights, and target system air pressure to determine control settings for each of the plurality of compressors.

Interstage capacity control valve with side stream flow distribution and flow regulation for multi-stage centrifugal compressors

Centrifugal compressors can incorporate a side stream flow of intermediate pressure vapor between stages of that compressor. The side stream flow can be controlled by a side stream injection port controlled by a capacity control valve that has a curved surface facing a flow of refrigerant from the first stage to the second stage. The capacity control valve can allow or obstruct flow through the side stream injection port. The capacity control valve can extend and retract in a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of flow from the first stage impeller to the second stage impeller. The side stream injection port and the capacity control valve can be ring-shaped. The side stream injection port and the capacity control valve can allow at least some of the side stream to be introduced on a side of the capacity control valve opposite the curved surface.

A multistage centrifugal pump for conveying a fluid includes a pump housing with an inlet and an outlet, first and second stage impellers for conveying the fluid from the inlet to the outlet, and a shaft for rotating each impeller about an axial direction. Each impeller is a double suction impeller, having a first suction side, a second suction side for receiving the fluid and a discharge side for discharging the fluid. The discharge side of the first stage impeller includes two separate exits, a first exit for discharging the fluid into a first crossover line, and a second exit for discharging the fluid into a second crossover line. The first crossover line is in fluid communication with the first suction side of the second stage impeller, and the second crossover line is in fluid communication with the second suction side of the second stage impeller.

Electric air pump system

An electric air pump system includes a housing in fluid communication with an inflatable body, a first valve, a first air pump for inflating and deflating the inflatable body, a second air pump for inflating the inflatable body, an air pressure sensor configured to detect the inner pressure of the inflatable body, and first and second prompting devices. The system also includes a control device electrically coupled to the first and second air pumps, the air pressure sensor, and the first and second prompting devices. The first prompting device outputs a first indication signal when the inner pressure is less than or equal to a first air pressure threshold and the second prompting device outputs a second indication signal when the second air pump inflates the inflatable body.

Described is a blower system. The blower system includes one or more blowers. Each blower has an intake for providing air into an air chamber which houses an impeller. A gate covers each intake. Each gate is movable between a closed position in which it is pulled against the intake and an open position in which the gate is lifted off of the intake. A controller system is included that is operable for causing the gates to move from the closed to the open position when a vehicle is present or approaching and cause the gates to return to the closed position when no vehicle is present or leaving.

METHOD FOR CONTROLLING FLOW SEPARATION ON SUCTION SURFACE OF STATOR BLADE OF AXIAL COMPRESSOR/FAN BY MEANS OF MICRO AIR INJECTION
20210285460 · 2021-09-16 ·

A method for controlling flow separation on a suction surface of a stator blade of an axial compressor/fan by means of micro air injection is characterized in that a stator blade of the axial compressor/fan is hollow and is formed by several two-dimensional hollow blade profiles stacked spanwisely; the blade profile is slotted to form a slotted blade profile; an inlet of a slot is at leading edge of the blade profile and an outlet is on a suction surface; when an airflow flows through a blade, a small portion of the airflow flows into the slot and then is ejected via the outlet; and the inlet of the slot exactly faces the incoming flow. The method can be used for an axial compressor or an axial fan to reduce flow loss and improve its efficiency.
