Provided is an oil feed type air compressor which can increase the determination accuracy regarding a deterioration state of oil. An oil feed type air compressor 1 includes a compressor main body 3, a separator 6 that separates oil from compressed air discharged from the compressor main body 3, and an oil feeding system 8 that feeds the oil separated by the separator 6 into a compression chamber of the compressor main body 3. The oil feeding system 8 includes a temperature control valve 20 that adjusts a diversion ratio for an oil cooler 18 and a diversion ratio for a bypass pipe 19 according to a temperature of the oil. The oil feed type air compressor 1 includes pressure sensors 22A and 22B located in the oil feeding system 8, a discharge temperature sensor 11 located on the discharge side of the compressor main body 3, and a controller 9 that computes, when it is estimated that the diversion ratio for the oil cooler 18 is 100% from the temperature sensed by the discharge temperature sensor 11 exceeding a predetermined value Td1, a difference ΔP between the pressure sensed by the pressure sensor 22A and the pressure sensed by the pressure sensor 22B and determines a deterioration state of the oil in reference to the difference ΔP.

Each bleed flowpath includes two or more bleed ports to divert a bleed airflow from a gas turbine engine flowpath, and a bleed duct in fluid communication with the bleed ports and configured to convey the bleed airflow from the two or more bleed ports to the bleed outlet. A valve is located at each bleed port of and is configured to move between an opened position and a closed position, and one or more sensors are located along the bleed flowpath to sense one or more conditions of the bleed air cooling system. The valve at a particular bleed port is moved to the opened position based on the sensed one or more conditions.

The gas compressor includes a compressor main unit, a drive source, an intake throttle valve, a gas release valve, rotation speed converting means, a pressure detecting device that detects a discharge pressure, and a controller that, the relationship between an upper-limit pressure H and a lower-limit pressure L being H>L, carries out opening the intake throttle valve and closing the gas release valve and operating the drive source at a full-load rotation speed until the discharge pressure reaches the upper-limit pressure H. The controller carries out at least one of closing the intake throttle valve and opening the gas release valve to reduce the discharge pressure to within a predetermined range when the discharge pressure reaches the upper-limit pressure H. The controller carries out switching to load operation when the discharge pressure drops to the lower-limit pressure L. In the gas compressor, the controller outputs a command of a lower rotation speed than the full-load rotation speed to the rotation speed converting means when the discharge pressure rises and reaches the upper-limit pressure H. The controller outputs a command of the full-load rotation speed to the rotation speed converting means when the discharge pressure drops and reaches the lower-limit pressure L.

System and method of reducing post-shutdown engine temperatures

A cooling system configured to reduce a temperature within a gas turbine engine in a shutdown mode of operation includes a first gas turbine engine including a compressor having a bleed port. In a first operating mode of the gas turbine engine, the compressor bleed port is configured to channel a high pressure flow of air from the compressor. During a shutdown mode of operation, the compressor bleed port is configured to channel an external flow of cooling air into the compressor. The cooling system also includes a source of cooling air and a conduit coupled in flow communication between the compressor bleed port and the source of cooling air. The source of cooling air configured to deliver a flow of cooling air into the compressor through the compressor bleed port.
