THIN FILM MASER EMITTER AND THIN PANEL PHASED ARRAY OF EMITTERS
20210218213 · 2021-07-15 · ·

A MASER (Microwave Amplified Stimulated Emission of Radiation) emitter is fabricated of thin film components, including a thin film of nitrogen-implanted, epitaxial crystal diamond. The MASER elements can also include a controllable Q-switching layer and be arranged in a thin panel, phased array to generate a single beam of coherent, mode-locked, continuous wave MASER radiation.

Phased-Array MASER Detector for Synthetic Aperture Interferometric Imaging
20210218214 · 2021-07-15 · ·

A phased-array MASER detector for synthetic aperture interferometric three-dimensional imaging. The detector elements, for example 10.sup.2-10.sup.6 zero bias Schottky detector diodes with sufficient sensitivity to reliably detect various values of MASER radiation, are arranged in layers offset in three dimensions. The phased-array MASER detector is particularly useful for detecting characteristics in a biological object using low energy (2-10 Watts), coherent MASER radiation. MASER intensity data of an interferometric pattern is collected by the detector array, is deconvolved, and is used to generate three-dimensional energy activity maps for a given time slice or on a time-shifting basis.

The Method for the treatment of patients with viral infections such as COV-2-BARS or others using Microwave Resonant Absorption (MRA) effect in viruses and based on Structure Resonant Energy Transfer (SRET) that causes Confined Acoustic Vibrations (CAV) in infectious viruses and, as a result, their destruction. Devices using coupling of multi-frequency microwave energy to the patient organs infected with virus with Near Field Focused (NFF) antenna arrays, implemented to irradiate infected organs such as lungs, larynx, and nasofarinx by exciting high amplitude acoustic vibrations to fracture the outer protein shell (capsid) of the virus and completely or, at least, partially inactivate it.

Hyperthermia Electromagnetic Energy Applicator Housing and Hyperthermia Patient Support System

EMR applicators of an EMR applicator array are provided in an openable applicator housing to allow easy patient entrance to and exit therefrom so that the portion of the patient's body that contains the tissue to be treated can be positioned directly into the applicator housing without the applicator housing having to be moved along the patient's body. This can eliminate or reduce the need for full body supporting structure as part of the applicator housing. The applicator housing provides support for the portion of the body positioned therein, and support pads or pillows, separate from the applicator housing, can replace the need for a full body support as part of the applicator housing. The housing can reduce the size and complication of prior art applicator housings, and can be placed along with the patient, on a patient support surface, such as in a standard MRI system.

Acquisition of interferometric recordings of brain and neuron activity by coherent microwave probe with therapeutic activation, inactivation, or ablation of molecular, neuronal or brain targets

Low power MASER (Microwave Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation) radiation is used to non-invasively record molecular activity in a biological object such as a brain. Low power MASER radiation is also used to neuromodulate molecular targets via Rabi coupling, resulting for example in conformational and function change in specific molecular targets such as ligand-gated ion channels, voltage-gated ion channels, G-proteins, or dopamine receptors. The method can be used to change the energy state of targeted molecules via energization or enervation, or to ablate targeted molecules.

The invention relates to a thermal treatment applicator (19) for the deposition of thermal energy within tissue of a body (10) of a patient. The applicator (19), comprises: a plurality of RF antennae (20) for radiating a RF electromagnetic field toward the body (10); a plurality of RF power amplifiers (21) supplying RF signals to the RF antennae (20), wherein each RF power amplifier (21) comprises a transistor and an output matching network (22) transforming the output impedance of the transistor into a low impedance value. Moreover, the invention relates to a MR imaging guided therapy system (1).

THERMOACOUSTIC IMAGE-GUIDED MICROWAVE THERAPY SYSTEM

A method and system capable of applying microwave therapy guided by thermoacoustic imaging and/or thermoacoustic thermometry is disclosed. The system includes a thermoacoustic imaging system and/or a thermoacoustic thermometry system that generate(s) a map of a region of interest; and a microwave therapy system that targets the region of interest using the 5 map, and that applies the microwave therapy to the targeted region of interest. Treatment of the targeted region of interest may be employed by the microwave therapy system using real-time feedback from the thermoacoustic imaging system and/or the thermoacoustic thermometry system. Imaging and therapy may be automatically co-registered.

A radio frequency annular phased array hyperthermia system providing a relatively small heated focal zone in a relatively large tissue mass includes a plurality of radio frequency energy applicators in at least one ring adapted to surround the relatively large tissue mass. A bolus having a dielectric constant is positioned between the energy applicators and the tissue mass. The energy applicators operate at a frequency high enough to create the relatively small heated focal zone. The spacing between adjacent applicators in the at least one ring is less than a critical distance and spacing between adjacent rings when the at least one ring is a plurality of side by side rings is less than a critical distance with such critical distances being interdependent on the frequency of the energy radiated, the dielectric constant of the bolus, the size of the bolus, and the size of the relatively large tissue mass.
