WIND TURBINE BLADE, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING WIND TURBINE BLADE, AND USE OF FABRIC IN COMPOSITE STRUCTURE OF WIND TURBINE BLADE
A turbine blade and a method of manufacturing the wind turbine, wherein the wind turbine blade comprises a composite structure and a surrounding layer. The composite structure comprises a stack of pultruded elements where an infusion-promoting layer is arranged between adjacent pairs of pultruded elements (18). The infusion-promoting layers have a higher permeability than the surrounding layer so that the resin flows at a higher speed within the stacked structure than in the surrounding layer.
Wind turbine blade manufacture
A wind turbine blade and associated method of manufacture is described. The blade comprises an outer shell formed of first and second half shells joined together. A shear web is arranged inside the outer shell. The shear web has a web panel disposed between first and second longitudinally-extending mounting flanges. The shear web is bonded to inner surfaces of the respective half shells via a first adhesive bond line between the first mounting flange and the inner surface of the first half shell and a second adhesive bond line between the second mounting flange and the inner surface of the second half shell. One or more bond spacers are provided in the second bond line, and optionally in the first bond line. The bond spacers are compressed between a shear web mounting flange and an inner surface of a half shell and are plastically deformed. The method of making the shear web involves compressing and the one or bond spacers in the bond line(s) such that they undergo plastic deformation. This results in high quality bond lines.

Method for producing a wind turbine blade
Provided is a method for producing a wind turbine blade having a blade body including a body part and a tip part, the blade being produced by using a mold, wherein a prefabricated tip part having a first connection interface is arranged adjacent to the mold for producing the body part, whereby building elements for building the body part are arranged in the mold providing a second connection interface which corresponds to and connects to the first connection interface, whereafter both connection interfaces are fixed by applying a fixing agent and curing it.
Wind turbines, wind turbine blades, and methods for manufacturing wind turbine blades
A wind turbine blade includes a plurality of layered sections coupled together end-to-end. Each section includes a side wall that forms a tubular structure and includes at least one bore. When the sections are coupled together, the bores generally align to form a conduit. A strengthening element extends through the conduit and is configured to reinforce the blade under load during use of the wind turbine. A wind turbine includes a tower, a nacelle, and a rotor including a hub and at least one wind turbine blade including a plurality of layered sections extending from the hub. A method of forming a wind turbine blade through an additive manufacturing process is also disclosed.
Method for fabrication of a profile for a spar cap for a wind turbine blade, spar cap and wind turbine blade
Provided is a method for fabrication of a profile for a spar cap for a wind turbine blade, wherein the profile is fabricated in a pultruding process using one or more strands and/or layers of unidirectional fibres or rovings of unidirectional fibres arranged along a longitudinal direction of the profile and a tool for moulding of the fibres, wherein one or more additional fibres or rovings of additional fibres are introduced in the pultruding process prior to the moulding, wherein the additional fibres are arranged under an angle to the unidirectional fibres, and/or wherein one or more surficial fibres or rovings of surficial fibres are introduced in the pultruding process after the moulding, wherein the surficial fibres are arranged on the outer surface of the moulded profile.
Pultruded fibrous composite strips having corrugated profiles for wind turbine blade spar caps
A pultruded fibrous composite strip, a spar cap made from such strips, a wind turbine rotor blade having such a spar cap and a method for making a spar cap from such strips are provided. The strip is stacked with similar strips to form the spar cap. The strip has a substantially constant cross-section defined by first and second mutually opposed and longitudinally extending sides, and by first and second longitudinal edges. The first and the second sides include first and second abutment surfaces, respectively. The first and/or the second abutment surfaces has corrugated profile such that a plurality of longitudinally extending grooves are defined on the abutment surface having the corrugated profile. When the strip is stacked with similar strips, and subsequently resin is infused, the grooves on the abutment surface having the corrugated profile facilitate transfer and flow of the resin into spaces between the stacked strips.
A DETECTION SYSTEM, A METHOD AND A DETECTION DEVICE THEREOF
This invention relates to a detection system, a detection device thereof and a method, comprising a support structure having a contact surface for contacting a first surface of a moulding element having a composite structure, wherein a number of detectable element is arranged below the contact surface and configured to interact with the detection device via a magnetic field. The detection device is moved along a second surface of the moulding element and is configured to detect a position on the second surface of a reference line in relation to a detectable element, wherein the reference line is formed by the detectable elements.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A WIND TURBINE ROTOR BLADE
Provided is a method of manufacturing a wind turbine rotor blade, which method includes the steps of preparing a mold by forming a partial negative leading-edge profile in a first mold half, which partial negative leading-edge profile includes a plurality of first indentations along a leading edge region of the first mold half; forming a partial negative leading-edge profile in a second mold half, which partial negative leading-edge profile includes a complementary plurality of second indentations along a leading edge region of the second mold half; and wherein the combined shape of a first indentation and a complementary second indentation corresponds to the negative shape of a leading-edge fin that will extend radially outward from the body of the rotor.
