Methods, systems, and devices are disclosed for wind power generation. In one aspect, a wind power generator includes a support base; inductors positioned over the support base in a circular array; an annulus ring track fixed to the base support and providing a circular track around which the inductors are located; an annulus ring rotor placed on the annulus ring track and engaged to rollers in the circular track so that the annulus ring rotor can rotate relative to the an annulus ring track, in which the annulus ring rotor include separate magnets to move through the circular array of inductors to cause generation of electric currents; and a wind rotor assembly coupled to the annulus ring rotor and including wind-deflecting blades that rotate with the rotor and a hollow central interior for containing a wind vortex formed from deflecting wind by the blades to convert into the electric energy.

A wind-energy-power-generating device is disclosed for flotation on a body of water. The device includes a turbine assembly having rotor blades rotating about a rotation axis for harnessing kinetic energy from an airflow. The device includes a cowl at least partially surrounding said turbine assembly and defining an airflow passageway between a cowl inlet and outlet, having an inlet and outlet axis, respectively. The inlet and outlet axis intersect at a redirect angle. The device includes a base platform adapted to support the turbine assembly and cowl on the water. The cowl is rotatably mounted on the base platform such that it is rotatable around the turbine assembly to self-align with a wind direction. Stabilising arms extend from the base platform and are spaced circumferentially around a platform axis, to stabilise it on the water. A wind-energy-power-generating device secured to the ground or other fixed non-floating structure is also described.

Provided is a bracket for securing a number of cooling rings arranged on a bearing ring, which bracket includes an upper surface, a lower surface shaped to lie on the cooling rings, and a through-opening extending between the upper surface and the lower surface to accommodate a fastener for mounting the bracket to the bearing ring; wherein the material properties of the bracket are chosen to permit movement of the cooling rings relative to the bracket when the bracket is mounted to the bearing ring; and/or wherein the bracket is made of a resilient elastic material. Further provided is a cooling arrangement for a bearing, including a number of cooling rings arranged in parallel on a mounting surface of a bearing ring of the bearing; and a number of such brackets to secure the cooling rings to the bearing body.

Two of the exchange bores are arranged in axial spaced-apart relation and connected to one another by a pocket depression.

The present disclosure is directed to a method for responding to a friction coefficient signal of a pitch bearing of a pitch drive mechanism of a wind turbine and/or for controlling the pitch drive mechanism(s) and/or a bank of ultracapacitors. The method and system include: accessing high-frequency measurement data of the at least one pitch bearing; estimating, via a torque balance model implemented by a controller, a frictional torque of the at least one pitch bearing based, at least in part, on the high-frequency measurement data; estimating, via the controller, a friction coefficient signal of the at least one pitch bearing based, at least in part, on the frictional torque; comparing the friction coefficient signal with a friction threshold; determining whether the friction coefficient signal deviates from the friction threshold based, at least in part, on the comparison; and, if so, acting.

The support body is formed as a bush rolled from a support body strip, wherein a first longitudinal end and a second longitudinal end of the support body strip are connected to one another in a materially bonded manner, in particular by a welding connection, at a joint, wherein the joint is formed in the region of the lubricant distribution groove.

Bearing support arrangement for a wind turbine, wind turbine and method for mounting a bearing support arrangement

A bearing support arrangement for a wind turbine includes a support structure and a bearing housing. The bearing housing is arranged within the support structure. The arrangement further includes a bearing radially supported by the bearing housing. A rotor shaft is radially supported by the bearing and a removable wedge is arranged between the support structure and the bearing housing to clamp the bearing between the rotor shaft and the bearing housing. A method for mounting the bearing support arrangement for a wind turbine is also disclosed as is a wind turbine incorporating the bearing support arrangement.

A load carrying structure comprises first and second arms (3) extending from the yaw arrangement (6) and carrying energy generating units (4). the yaw arrange-ment (6) comprises an outer wall part (7) arranged coaxially with the tower (2) and forming a closed ring extending circumferentially about an outer surface of the tower (2), thereby forming a space (8) between the tower (2) and the outer wall part (7). The outer wall part (7) and the outer surface of the tower (2) are rotatable relative to each other.
