Device for performing angiography and phototherapy
A device includes an angiography module, a phototherapy module, a carrier including an optical filter and accommodating the angiography module and the phototherapy module, and a control unit controlling operation of the angiography module and the phototherapy module. The angiography module includes infrared LEDs emitting infrared light through the optical filter to irradiate a limb of a subject, and an infrared sensor sensing a part of the infrared light reflected off the limb to generate a result, based on which the control unit generates an angiogram. The phototherapy module emits infrared light through the optical filter to irradiate the limb for phototherapy.
Implantable system for stimulating a human heart or an animal heart
An implantable system stimulates a human or animal heart. The system contains a processor, a memory unit, an atrial stimulation unit, a ventricular stimulation unit, and a detection unit for detecting atrial tachycardia. The memory unit stores a computer-readable program that prompts the processor to: a) detect by the detection unit whether atrial tachycardia to be treated is present in the heart; b) when atrial tachycardia to be treated is present, carrying out a ventricular conditioning stimulation by way of the ventricular stimulation unit; and c) applying atrial antitachycardia pacing in the form of a stimulation pulse sequence of 2 to 20 pulses or a high-frequency burst having a frequency of up to 50 Hz and a duration of up to 60 seconds by way of the atrial stimulation unit as the ventricular conditioning stimulation is being carried out and/or thereafter.
SLEEP MASK THAT INCORPORATES LIGHT TO REGULATE UTERINE CONTRACTIONS
A sleep mask includes a flexible eye cover configured to be worn by a late-term pregnant female and configured to cover and shield the eyes of the wearer from ambient light. At least one light source is carried by the flexible eye cover and positioned to emit light having a wavelength of 450 to 570 nm onto the eyelids of the wearer when asleep and penetrate the eyelids when closed. A controller is connected to the at least one light source and configured to activate the light source to decrease endogenous melatonin levels and suppress uterine contractions in the late-term pregnant female.
PORTABLE RECHARGEABLE LED RED LIGHT CAVITY HEALING DEVICES
A light-emitting diode (LED) therapy device and method of use is provided that increases healing of tissues by targeting damaged tissue at a predetermined wavelength and pulsed at a predetermined frequency. The device includes a housing and a light radiation module enclosed within the housing. The light radiation module includes an LED, a controller unit connected to the LED to control wavelength and pulsed frequency of the LED, and a rechargeable power source. The device also includes a light-diffusing member connected to the housing designed to diffuse light emitted from the LED to damaged tissue in a human cavity. Light in the red or near infrared range and pulsed at a Nogier frequency increases the effectiveness of the LED device to stimulate healing of damaged tissues. Particular devices include incorporation into a pacifier for healing an infant's gums, or nasal, auditory, vaginal, or anal cavities and adults or children.
OPTICAL DESIGNS OF ELECTRONIC APPARATUS TO DECREASE MYOPIA PROGRESSION
A soft contact lens comprises a plurality of light sources coupled to a plurality of optical elements. The plurality of light sources and the plurality of optical elements are embedded in a soft contact lens material. Each of said plurality of optical elements generates an image focused in front of a peripheral retina of a wearer. In some embodiments, each of the images is focused at a distance in front of the peripheral retina at a location, and each of the images comprises a depth of focus and a spatial resolution. The depth of focus can be less than the distance, and the spatial resolution greater than a spatial resolution of the peripheral retina at the location.
Method of treating multiple sclerosis
A method and computer program product for suppressing the symptoms of multiple sclerosis (MS) by irradiating a subject exhibiting the symptoms with a pre-determined dose of UV-containing light from a light source and detecting a suppression of the clinical symptoms of MS. In particular, the detected suppression of the clinical symptoms is disassociated from the vitamin D production within the subject.
MASSAGE DEVICE CONTROLLING THE OPERATION OF THE ARM MASSAGE UNIT THROUGH ELECTRODES
Provided herein is a massage apparatus including: an arm massage unit for massaging a user's arm; and a control unit for controlling the arm massage unit. The arm massage unit comprises a space and an electrode arranged in the space, and the control unit determines whether an electrical value of the electrode is changed, and controls the operation of the arm massage unit based on a determination result and an operation state of the arm massage unit.
WEARABLE LIGHT STIMULATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Light stimulation systems and methods for elevating testosterone levels in male patients.
Therapeutic Device Using Far-infrared Radiation
This invention relates to a therapeutic device for treating a human or animal body, comprising an array of infrared-emitting elements in an attachment means for attaching to the body part to be treated, said infrared-emitting elements being in the form of sintered ceramic plates and made from a mixture of infrared-emitting oxides having specific spectral luminance covering at least a part of the 3-7 micrometer wavelength spectrum and having a peak wavelength between 3 and 7 micrometers, that provides an effective means to healing the body. A locally administrable heating means may be used for escalated healing effects.
Ophthalmological device and method for the treatment of corneal diseases
An ophthalmological device (10) for the treatment of corneal diseases such as keratocanus and glaucoma, comprises a molding head (12), a suction body (14) and a UV lamp (15). The molding head (12) has a hollow cylindrical configuration and includes a rigid molding lens (18) for shaping the cornea of an eye (11) of a patient. The lens is curved and defines a plurality of apertures therein. The suction body (14) has a hollow cylindrical configuration. The lamp (15) is fitted to the suction body. Molding head (12) and suction body (14) together define a chamber (32) from which air is evacuated so as to induce a partial vacuum within the chamber (32) for attracting the cornea onto the lens (18). A photo-sensitizer is applied to the eye and while the cornea is held against the mold, it is irradiated with UV light by lamp (15) so as to cross-link collagen fibers in the cornea.
