A tidal current energy generating device includes a generator, a connecting shaft, an impeller and an adjustment assembly. The impeller includes an impeller hub and an impeller blade arranged thereon. The impeller hub is connected with the connecting shaft, and the generator is connected with the impeller hub. The impeller blade is driven under the action of a tidal current to drive the impeller hub to rotate synchronously around an axis of the connecting shaft, driving the generator to generate electricity. The adjustment assembly is connected with the impeller blade, and can be driven to swing under the action of the tidal current to drive the impeller blade to rotate around the axis of the impeller blade relative to the impeller hub, thereby adjusting the angle of the impeller blade.
CORRECTING PITCH ANGLE
A method of correcting a pitch angle deviation of a blade of a wind turbine is provided. First blade load measurements measured when the wind turbine was operating in a first operational mode are provided, and used to determine calibration parameters. Second blade load measurements measured when the wind turbine was operating in a second operational mode are provided, and the calibration parameters applied to determine calibrated blade load measurements. A pitch angle deviation of at least one blade of the turbine is estimated based on an identified difference between the calibrated blade load measurements, and a pitch angle is adjusted to correct for the pitch angle deviation.
WIND ENERGY INSTALLATION AND A METHOD OF OPERATING A WIND ENERGY INSTALLATION
A method of operating a wind energy installation wherein a rotor has a first rotor blade which can be angularly adjusted, a first adjustment drive for adjusting the rotor blade, and a safety control system. In a normal mode of operation, the first adjustment drive is supplied with energy from a source and is controlled by a first pitch control system. In a failure mode of operation, the supply of energy to the first adjustment drive is switched from the source to an energy storage device and the safety control system monitors a position and/or movement of the first rotor blade. The first rotor blade is adjusted by the first adjustment drive in a direction of a predetermined stopping position, while the safety control system, as a function of the monitored position and/or movement, enables or effects a deactivation of a first power supply shut-off device. In the failure mode of operation, the safety control system, as a function of the monitored position and/or movement, closes a first pitch brake and activates a first blocking mode in which the supply of energy to the first adjustment drive from the energy storage device and/or an opening of the first pitch brake is prevented.
SELF-CHARGING ELECTRIC VEHICLE (SCEV)
A self-charging electric vehicle configured for converting solar energy and wind energy into electrical energy comprising a systems and methods. Solar cells mounted to the vehicles top sides can be supplemented with extendable solar panel(s) that can be deployed by a control system to generate solar energy into electrical energy. An omnidirectional sun sensor provides for sun strength, angle and direction. A stowable horizontal-axis wind turbine with an extendable mast mounted to the vehicle that can be deployed by a control system to generate wind energy into electrical energy. A stowable anemometer provides for wind speed and wind direction.
Vertical Tilting Blade Turbine Wind Mill
The Variable Tilting Blade Twin Turbine Wind Mill device is for capturing kinetic energy from the wind and is comprised of a shaft having a plurality of central hubs connectively attached, each central hub having a plurality of wind capture arms comprising a rotating wind capture blade having a capture surface and a slicing edge that are rotated by a rotating gear and drive gear combination connectively attached to said wind capture blades enabling a rotation of said wind capture blades wherein the wind capture blades are rotated between a blade-mode to capture the wind and a knife-mode to pass with less drag resistance through the air/wind thereby enabling an increase in the ability to capture more of the energy available in the wind stream.
