The bearing protection arrangement includes a wind speed monitor arranged to monitor wind speed in the vicinity of the wind turbine and to generate a wake-up signal when the wind speed exceeds a pre-defined minimum; a mode switch module of a backup battery arranged to provide restart power to an auxiliary of the wind turbine, which mode switch module is adapted to switch the backup battery from a normal-power mode into a low-power mode to conserve sufficient restart power after low wind-speed conditions, and to switch the backup battery from the low-power mode into a normal-power mode in response to the wake-up signal. A wind turbine and a method of protecting a journal bearing of a wind turbine during standstill is also provided.
DETERMINING A WIND SPEED VALUE
Provided is a method of determining a value of a wind speed, the method including: measuring a first value of the wind speed using a first wind speed sensor; measuring at least one second value of the wind speed using at least one second wind speed sensor; estimating a third value of the wind speed based on at least one operational parameter of a wind turbine having a rotating rotor at which rotor blades are connected and having a generator coupled to the rotor; determining a fourth value of the wind speed by taking into account the first value and the at least one second value weighted based on the third value.
METHOD, APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR WIND CONVERTER MANAGEMENT
A method for wind converter management, first and second data associated with a group of first measurements and a second measurement of the wind converter may be collected respectively. An association between the group of first measurements and the second measurement of the wind converter may be obtained. A condition of the wind converter may be determined based on a comparison of the collected first and second data and the obtained association. Also, the apparatuses, systems, computer readable media and IoT systems for wind converter management.
System and Method for Estimating Motor Temperature of a Pitch System of a Wind Turbine
A method for estimating a temperature of a motor of a pitch drive mechanism of a rotor blade of a wind turbine includes monitoring, via at least one sensor, an actual temperature and at least one additional operating condition of the motor during a normal operating period of the wind turbine. The method also includes storing, via a pitch controller, the monitored temperatures and the monitored additional operating conditions of the motor for the normal operating period. Further, the method includes determining a relationship between the monitored temperatures and the monitored additional operating conditions of the motor for the normal operating period. Thus, in the event that the sensor fails to operate, the method includes determining, via the pitch controller, an estimated temperature of the motor based on the relationship.
Control system for submersible electric motor drive control
System and method for controlling operation of a hydroelectric production system comprising electrical actuators operably connected at opposite positions of a gate operating ring for rotating the wicket gates to a desired position. The system receives a single control signal designed for a hydraulic system comprising hydraulic actuators operably connected to a single fluid reservoir and configured to work in tandem to produce simultaneous and opposite axial movements. The system comprises a control interface adapted to produce new control signals, each new signal being intended to a different electrical actuator to cause the electrical actuators to have axial movements which are identical in speed and in opposite directions to substantially imitate the exact movement of the hydraulic actuators onto the gate operating ring. The system is configured to introduce a dampening effect to reduce sudden acceleration and deceleration which is purposely used in hydraulic systems to overcome friction and static effects.
CONTROLLING WIND TURBINE
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for controlling a wind turbine. The method includes: dividing a plurality of wind turbines into at least one group based on a similarity in status information of the plurality of wind turbines; in response to having detected a fault in a first wind turbine of the plurality of wind turbines, searching a group to which the first wind turbine belongs for a second wind turbine matching status information of the first wind turbine; and controlling the first wind turbine based on parameters from the second wind turbine.
SAFETY STOP ASSEMBLY
Provided is a safety stop valve arrangement of a hydraulic blade pitch system of a wind turbine, including an accumulator arrangement connected over a hydraulic line to a piston of the hydraulic blade pitch system; a redundant set of safety valves arranged between the accumulator arrangement and the piston; a small-orifice restriction nozzle arranged to determine a first rate of hydraulic fluid flow in response to a safety stop input; at least one speed-select valves arranged; and at least one large-orifice restriction nozzle arranged to determine a second rale of hydraulic fluid flow in response to a positive rotor acceleration input, wherein the second rate of fluid flow is faster than the first rate of fluid flow. A safety stop assembly of a wind turbine with hydraulic blade pitch system and a method of performing a safety stop sequence is also provided.
Yaw control method and device for wind generator set

The yawing control method includes: acquiring first wind information at a current moment characterized by current operation data of a neighbor wind turbine adjacent to the wind turbine when at least one of a wind direction sensor and a wind direction data uploading path of the wind turbine fails; acquiring second wind information matched with the first wind information in wind information characterized by historical operation data of the wind turbine at all moments; and performing yawing control on the wind turbine based on the second wind information.
