Described herein is a method of controlled exposure of ultraviolet (UV) rays to a user, with use of a UV exposure system comprising a camera unit, a UV source, and a microcontroller. The method includes capturing an image of the user; performing face recognition on the captured image to identify a user profile; obtaining information on dosage value delivered to the user in a defined amount of dosage time period; comparing the dosage value with a threshold value; and performing an action on the UV source based on the comparison. The action includes: activating the UV source if the dosage value is below the threshold value; and deactivating the UV source, if the dosage value is above the threshold value.

EQUIPMENT FOR DESTRUCTION OF CORONAVIRUSES BY MEANS OF COMPLEMENTARY RADIATION
20230201626 · 2023-06-29 ·

The equipment for the destruction of viruses by means of complementary radiation consists of a technology focused on weakening the fatty layer covering certain viruses, to cause the indirect destruction of them. This technology utilizes intense, modulated light radiation, the principal emitters thereof being 460-nanometers LEDs which, with the technology of the invention, emit secondary radiation in a band ranging from 400 to 460 nanometers, in order to achieve the weakening and destruction of the fatty layer that covers viruses such as SARS-CoV-2. This light radiation is complemented with ultrasound pulses that complete the destructive effect of the interior of the virus. For this purpose, technology involving emission by means of stratified quantum excitation is employed, which uses monochromatic light-emitting diodes to achieve very-high-intensity polychromatic emissions highly controllable regarding tissue penetration.

LIGHT DIFFUSION DEVICE AND MEDICAL EQUIPMENT USING THE SAME

Provided is a light diffusion device capable of irradiating laser light onto a plurality of locations in a human body in a state in which a distal end portion of an optical transmission cable is placed in the human body. The light diffusion device includes an optical transmission cable including a plurality of cores, and a light refracting portion configured to refract the light emitted from each of the plurality of cores so that irradiation directions thereof are different from each other. With such a configuration, it is possible to irradiate the laser light in a plurality of directions when the distal end of the optical transmission cable is placed in the human body. Therefore, it is possible to change the location where the laser light is irradiated without extracting or re-inserting the optical transmission cable from or into the human body, thereby shortening the time required for photoimmunotherapy.

Illumination devices for inducing biological effects

Illumination devices for impinging light on tissue, for example within a body cavity of a patient, to induce various biological effects are disclosed. Biological effects may include at least one of inactivating and/or inhibiting growth of one or more pathogens, upregulating a local immune response, increasing endogenous stores of nitric oxide, releasing nitric oxide from endogenous stores, and inducing an anti-inflammatory effect. Wavelengths of light are selected based on intended biological effects for one or more of targeted tissue types and targeted pathogens. Light treatments may provide multiple pathogenic biological effects, either with light of a single wavelength or with light having multiple wavelengths. Devices for light treatments are disclosed that provide light doses for inducing biological effects on various targeted pathogens and tissues with increased efficacy and reduced cytotoxicity. Particular illumination devices are disclosed that provide safe and effective treatments for upper respiratory tract infections, including coronaviridae and orthomyxoviridae.
