An apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a flexible wrap and a plurality of lights arranged on the wrap. The wrap is configured to wrap around a body of a user such that the lights face selected areas of the body. The apparatus is configured to cause the lights to emit light at a first predetermined wavelength to the selected areas of the body that is sufficient to perforate one or more fat cells at the selected areas of the body to drain the content within the one or more fat cells when power is supplied to the lights. The apparatus is configured to cause the lights to emit light at a second predetermined wavelength to the selected areas of the body at the same time as the lights emit light at the first predetermined wavelength when power is supplied to the lights.

Surgical devices for treating body tissue and diagnosing patients

A surgical device such as a therapy device that can allow a surgeon to treat a target tissue with ultra-violet (UV) light ablation therapy. In one example, the therapy device is configured to treat menorrhagia. In that instance, the therapy device may be configured to effect or destroy the endometrium during a procedure treating menorrhagia.

Method of Noninvasive Treatment of Diabetic Retinopathy

A method for noninvasive treatment of diabetic retinopathy helps prevent and reverses diabetic retinopathy and other vascular retinopathies, such as diabetic macular edema for a patient. The method comprises administering at least 80 percent pure oxygen to a patient in an oxygen chamber or nasal cannula. The oxygen chamber includes light emitting diodes that emit a light having a wavelength between 630-700 nm wavelengths on the patient. The method also includes administering an anti-inflammatory agent; an anti-oxidant; at least one of the following: an amino acid, arginine, and citrulline; and an omega-3 fatty acids to the patient. In extreme cases of diabetic retinopathy, a cold laser therapy is also administered to the patient with a wavelength between 570 nanometers and 1000 nanometers. The combination of all the aforementioned treatment modalities and compositions that work to synergistically to achieve unexpected clinical results for prevention and reversal of diabetic retinopathy.

Instrument For Therapeutically Cytotoxically Ablating Parathyroidal Tissue Within A Parathyroid Gland
20190038334 · 2019-02-07 ·

An instrument for therapeutically cytotoxically ablating parathyroidal tissue is disclosed. A substance is capable of transforming the parathyroid gland from overproduction of parathyroid hormone when the substance's quantity exceeds a set amount, and is capable of transforming the parathyroid gland from overproduction only when activated by application of sufficient units of an electromagnetic energy having a frequency ranging from 400 THz to 30 PHz when the substance's quantity is below the set amount. A delivery device is operable to introduce the substance into the parathyroidal tissue and to quantitatively limit the quantity to below the set amount. An energy device is operable to apply units of the electromagnetic energy after the substance has been introduced. A sensor is operable to monitor the activation of the substance as the electromagnetic energy is applied. The energy device is further operable to modulate applying the electromagnetic energy when the substance has been activated.
