Piston ring and compressor
A piston ring includes a first ring portion which is fitted onto an outer circumferential portion of a piston and which is capable of sliding relative to an inner wall surface of a cylinder, and a second ring portion which is fitted onto the outer circumferential portion of the piston, arranged side-by-side with the first ring portion in the axial direction, and which is capable of sliding relative to the inner wall surface of the cylinder. The second ring portion is fitted onto the outer circumferential portion of the piston in such a way as to be positioned on a side opposite to a compression chamber inside the cylinder, relative to the first ring portion, and has a greater hardness than the first ring portion has.
Sealing structure and scroll air compressor having same
Disclosed are a sealing structure and a scroll air compressor having the same. The sealing structure includes an orbiting scroll including an orbiting scroll spiral tooth, the orbiting scroll spiral tooth being provided with an orbiting scroll spiral tooth groove, an orbiting scroll wear-resistant sealing strip being provided in the orbiting scroll spiral tooth groove, a stationary scroll including a stationary scroll spiral tooth matched with the orbiting scroll spiral tooth, the stationary scroll spiral tooth being provided with a stationary scroll spiral tooth groove, a stationary scroll wear-resistant sealing strip is provided in the stationary scroll spiral tooth groove, the wear-resistant sealing strip is divided into sections including a high-temperature and high-pressure section and a medium-temperature and medium-pressure section.
Systems and methods related to fluid pumping
Systems for a plastic pump/actuator capable of containing and pumping organic solvents and lubricants and having a more desirable lubricity within the system. The system has at least two cylinders, with plungers therein, oppositely disposed from each other and configured to operably connect to a pump.
Coating to reduce coking deposits on steel pistons
A piston for an internal combustion engine is provided. The piston includes a coating applied to a ferrous body portion to reduce or prevent chemical bonding of carbon deposits or coking on the body portion at temperatures ranging from 200 to 400° C. The coating includes a fluoropolymer, such as polytetrafluoroethylene, fluorosilane, fluorocarbon, fluoroplastic resin, and/or perfluoroplastic, and may be hydrocarbon or silicone based. The coating also has a thickness of 25 microns to 1 millimeter. The coating can be disposed on an undercrown surface, ring grooves, ring lands, pin bosses, and/or skirt sections of the body portion.

Hypotrochoid positive-displacement machine
A displacement device including an inner rotor and an outer rotor with meshing projections. Points on each rotor trace a hypotrochoidal path relative to the other. The tips of the outer rotor projections may contact the inner rotor at Top Dead Center (TDC) and Bottom Dead Center (BDC) to form higher and lower pressure regions. Various elements may shape other elements to form seals.

Tubing retention mechanism usable with a peristaltic pump
An apparatus, method, and system for retaining tubing used in a peristaltic pump. The apparatus includes tubing retention device usable with a peristaltic pump, the tubing retention device including a movable tubing retainer having a tubing engaging portion capable of engaging with a first surface of a tube and a track portion for movably supporting the tubing retainer. At least one of the movable tubing retainer or the track portion has a surface formed of or at least partially coated with a friction reducing coating. The apparatus further comprises a second tubing engaging portion capable of engaging with a second surface of the tube and a biasing member biasing the movable tubing retainer towards the second tubing engagement portion. Engagement of the tubing retainer and the second tubing engaging portion reduces longitudinal movement of the tube.
Low cost scroll compressor or vacuum pump
A low cost scroll device and methods of manufacturing the same are described. The scroll device includes, for example, a drive pin hole and bearing bores machined into a scroll of the scroll device from the same side as the involute of the scroll; idler shaft assemblies with no more than one bearing in the orbiting scroll for mechanically coupling the orbiting scroll to the fixed scroll; and an epoxy coating applied using a process that requires assembly of the scroll device only once.
ORBITER VACUUM PUMP CAPABLE OF DRY-RUNNING
The present invention relates to a dry-running, oil-free orbiter vacuum pump with an improved bearing arrangement consisting of a material pairing capable of dry-running A pivot bearing with a bearing cavity open towards the pump chamber for receiving a pivot head of a blocking slide is arranged inside the pump housing. The orbiter vacuum pump capable of dry-running is characterized in particular in that at least one sliding surface of the pivot bearing allocated to the bearing cavity or to the pivot head is made of a composite material including a solid lubricant.
