LATTICE-CORED ADDITIVE MANUFACTURED COMPRESSOR COMPONENTS WITH FLUID DELIVERY FEATURES
A light-weight, high-strength compressor component having at least one fluid delivery feature that is formed via additive manufacturing is provided. The component may have at least one interior region comprising a lattice structure that comprises a plurality of repeating cells. A solid surface is disposed over the lattice structure. The interior region comprising the lattice structure has at least one fluid delivery feature for permitting fluid flow through the body portion of the light-weight, high-strength compressor component. The fluid delivery feature may be a flow channel, a fluid delivery port, a porous fluid delivery feature, or the like that serves to transfer fluids through the component, such as refrigerant and/or lubricant oils. Methods of making such compressor components via additive manufacturing processes are also provided.
Semispherical shoe for swash plate compressor and swash plate compressor
A swash plate compressor in which a lubricating film is not formed on a sliding contact surface of the swash plate and the piston owing to the use of the semispherical shoe. The semispherical shoe (4) is subjected to sliding contact with the swash plate of the swash plate compressor and the piston thereof. A base material (5) consists of a metallic member having a resin layer (6b) formed on a surface of a planar part (4b) that is subjected to sliding contact with the swash plate. A resin layer (6a) is formed on a surface of a spherical part (4a) to be subjected to sliding contact with the piston. The resin layer (6a) and the resin layer (6b) are integral with each other. At least one portion of the base material (5) is exposed.

COMPRESSOR SYSTEM WITH PURGE GAS SYSTEM
A compressor system includes a compressor having a rotor; a bearing supporting the rotor, wherein the bearing is disposed in a bearing cavity; and wherein the bearing has a near frictionless coating; and a purge gas system in fluid communication with the bearing cavity and constructed to purge air from the bearing cavity and supply the bearing cavity with the purge gas during operation of the compressor. The purge gas can be nitrogen and the near frictionless coating can be a near-frictionless diamond-like carbon coating.
Lubricating coating composition and compressor including the same
A lubricating coating composition and a compressor including a sliding member coated with the lubricating coating composition. The lubricating coating composition includes a thermosetting or thermoplastic polyimide-based resin as a binder, a solid lubricant, various solvents, and other additives at a controlled ratio. The compressor includes a first member including a first sliding surface and a second member moving relative to the first member including a second sliding surface. The lubricating coating composition is applied to the first sliding surface or the second sliding surface.
Highly wear-resistant valve seat for use in internal combustion engine
A highly wear-resistant valve seat insert for an internal combustion engine, having a material composition in which hard-particles are uniformly and finely dispersed in the matrix phase, and which is excellent in wear-resistance and radial crushing strength, based on a blended fine powder and a matrix forming powder with a particle size approximately equal to that of the hard-particles so as to prevent the hard-particles from aggregating and thus coarsely dispersing as a hard-particle phase.
Pump with wear-resistant barrel and plunger having coating support
A pumping mechanism is disclosed. The pumping mechanism may include a barrel formed of a barrel substrate and including a first end surface, a second end surface opposite the first end surface, and a bore between the first and second end surfaces. Each of the first and second end surfaces and the bore is coated with a metal plating. The pumping mechanism may further include a plunger formed of a plunger substrate and configured to be slidably disposed in the bore in barrel, the plunger substrate having a tribological coating.
SLIDING MEMBER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A sliding member includes: a base material; a solid lubricant layer arranged on a surface of the base material; a defect layer having a material defect, disposed in the solid lubricant layer, and being changeable into an ultra low friction layer by mechanical stress more easily than changing from the solid lubricant layer to the ultra low friction layer; and a ultra low friction layer covering a surface of the defect layer.
POLYMERIC COMPOSITE INSERT COMPONENT FOR A SCROLL COMPRESSOR
A polymeric composite insert component for a scroll compressor comprises a polymer and at least one reinforcing or lubricating particle. The insert component comprises an annular body and an axial projection. The annular body comprises a first annular inner surface defining a first centrally-disposed opening having a central axis. The annular body has a first side configured to engage a partition plate and a second side configured to engage a floating seal assembly. The axial projection extends from the first side of the annular body. The axial projection is configured to engage the partition plate. The insert component is configured to fluidly seal first and second interfaces during operation of the compressor. The first interface is defined between the first contact surface and the partition plate. The second interface defined between the second contact surface and the floating seal assembly.
