A patch-type skincare device is provided. A patch-type skincare device according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention comprises: a light source part comprising a flexible plate-shaped substrate member having a circuit pattern formed on at least one surface thereof, and at least one LED mounted on one surface of the substrate member; a pair of cover members disposed on both surfaces of the substrate member so as to prevent the light source part from being exposed to the outside; and a connection cable for supplying the light source part with power that is externally supplied.
Systems and methods for administering light therapy while increasing pain threshold with distraction stimulus
A method of administering light treatment to a biological surface comprising administering light therapy from one or more light sources and administering distraction stimulus from one or more distraction mechanisms. The distraction stimulus is configured to distract a user from a discomfort caused by the light therapy.
Portable Apparatus for Laser Therapy
A portable apparatus for laser therapy surgery comprising a readily portable housing, a plurality of laser sources of same or different wavelengths provided in the housing, and a flexible waveguide extending from the housing to transmit laser light from each of the plurality of laser sources to target area. A camera system to provide instructions remotely to the plurality of the users, a central processing unit communicating with a communication terminal to receive data regarding a purchase of one or more treatment credits by the user, the purchased treatment credits to the apparatus associated with the user. A computer system is configured to connect to the apparatus remotely via internet servers to receive plurality of data received from the user and apparatus, wherein the plurality of data comprising apparatus identification information associated with remotely located laser emitting apparatus and user identification information associated with a user of the apparatus.
REAL TIME MONITORING OF COSMETIC LASER AESTHETIC SKIN TREATMENT PROCEDURES
A cosmetic method of treating skin tissue with a source of treatment light includes providing a source of treatment light along an optical axis; providing one or more sources of illumination light along the optical axis; providing one or more sensors along the optical axis; providing a programmable controller, the programmable controller controlling the activation of the source of illumination light and the source of treatment light. The method includes the steps of: the controller activating the one or more sources of illumination light and directing it to the skin tissue, the one or more sensors measuring the light reflected from the skin tissue and transmitting information sensed of measured light to the programmable controller; the programmable controller processing the measured light received from the output of the one or more sensors and providing a treatment light regimen; the programmable controller activating the source of treatment light according to the treatment regimen to the skin tissue; and, treating the skin tissue.
ANTI-MICROBIAL IRRADIATION FOR PERCUTANEOUS OSSEOINTEGRATED PROSTHESES (POPs)
An osseointegrated fixture of a percutaneous osseointegrated prosthesis (POPs) anchors directly into a bone of a residual limb within an amputation stump. By anchoring directly into the bone, the POPs provides improved mobility, comfort, and function for an amputee, but an interface between an opening in the skin and the osseointegrated fixture, which allows the anchoring directly into the bone, is prone to infection by microbes. An anti-microbial device can be attached to and/or embedded within an extracorporeal portion of the osseointegrated fixture to irradiate at least a portion on the interface with at least one wavelength of light selected for its antimicrobial effects.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR THE THERAPEUTIC APPLICATION OF LASER AND CANNABIDIOL TO THE SKIN
A method for applying cannabidiol onto and into the skin is provided. The method includes applying cannabidiol onto skin and irradiating the skin and the cannabidiol with a laser light. The laser light has a wavelength ranging from 800 nm to 870 nm. The irradiating of the skin with the laser light results in at least some of the cannabidiol penetrating into the skin. The cannabidiol can be provided in a kit with a laser emitting tool.
ILLUMINATION DEVICES FOR INDUCING BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS
Illumination devices for impinging light on tissue, for example within a body cavity of a patient, to induce various biological effects are disclosed. Biological effects may include at least one of inactivating and/or inhibiting growth of one or more pathogens, upregulating a local immune response, increasing endogenous stores of nitric oxide, releasing nitric oxide from endogenous stores, and inducing an anti-inflammatory effect. Biological effects may include upregulating and downregulating inflammatory immune response molecules within a target tissue. Wavelengths of light are selected based on intended biological effects for one or more of targeted tissue types and targeted pathogens. Light treatments may provide multiple pathogenic biological effects, either with light of a single wavelength or with light having multiple wavelengths. Devices for light treatments are disclosed that provide light doses for inducing biological effects on various targeted pathogens and tissues with increased efficacy and reduced cytotoxicity.
DEVICE FOR STIMULATING THE ENDOGENOUS PRODUCTION OF MELATONIN AND PROCESS FOR OPTIMIZING STIMULATION THEREOF
A stimulation device is provided, which provides light and sound stimuli capable of inducing the production of melatonin in a human individual subjected to said stimuli. Light and sound stimuli are produced by a light source and a sound emitter connected to a wearable mask or to a wearable frame. The desired stimulation can be easily adjusted by means of mobile devices. A method is also provided based on the stimulation device for optimizing the expression of melatonin in a patient subjected to a periodic and customized treatment. The device and method provide a physical well-being to the individual and are useful for enhancing the performance of athletes and for treating various diseases and symptoms related to low metabolic levels of the melatonin hormone.
Methods for inhibiting cancer cell migration with gold nanomaterials and photothermal therapy
A method of inhibiting migration of a cancer cell of a tumor in a subject comprising the steps of: (a) contacting the tumor with a gold nanomaterial; and (b) irradiating the tumor with an irradiation source.
CANCER TREATMENT SYSTEM
The disclosure relates to a cancer treatment system including: a radiation source configured to produce 1.27-micrometer wavelength radiation, wherein the 1.27-micrometer wavelength radiation is generated from singlet oxygen. The radiation source may be an oxygen laser or an amplified spontaneous emission generator. The 1.27-micrometer wavelength radiation may be a laser or an amplified spontaneous emission.
