Electromagnetic radiation targeting devices, assemblies, systems and methods
The present application is directed to devices, assemblies, systems and methods for targeting one or more sites with electromagnetic radiation. The devices, assemblies and systems are operationally configured to transform and convey electromagnetic radiation to one or more targeted sites. The devices, assemblies and systems may also convey one or more fluids or fluid solutions to the one or more targeted sites.
QUANTUM WAVE THERAPY APPARATUS
A quantum wave therapy apparatus includes a quantum wave generator and a quantum wave irradiator. The quantum wave irradiator includes an oscillation plate, and a resin panel that is formed by kneading semiconductor powder, which reflects quantum waves, into resin. The quantum wave generator includes an AC adaptor, and a coil that is connected in series to the negative electrode side of an output smoothing capacitor in the AC adaptor, and that constitutes a serial resonance circuit. An electromotive voltage induced in the serial resonance circuit by extraneous electromagnetic waves is superimposed on a negative potential output from the AC adaptor, and a resulting voltage is applied to the oscillation plate, whereby quantum waves are generated. The quantum waves are applied to a diseased portion. The quantum waves reflected from surroundings are reflected again by the semiconductor powder in the resin panel and are applied to the diseased portion repeatedly.
Apparatus attachable to a low-level laser therapy device to transmit light or infrared light through the fur of an animal onto the animal's skin
An attachment apparatus for use in combination with a known low-level laser therapy device. The apparatus is attachable to the front portion of, and operable with, a low-level laser therapy device for passing coherent light past the fur of an animal patient. The apparatus has a body with a plurality of pins that can be pushed through the fur, and which transmit a low-level laser therapy light to skin of the animal. The pins are composed of material that transmits the required light wavelength to the animal's skin.
Therapeutic devices and methods to improve body functions
Methods and therapeutic devices with noninvasive means for improving brain function, improving eye health, improving digestive system health and improving immune functions are described. The non-invasive means is selected from electrical stimulation, heat stimulation, IR (infrared) radiation, mechanical stimulation or their combinations. In some embodiments, the method and device utilize stimulation to selected skin area on human body to achieve desired therapeutical effects.
Optical surface applicator with integrated diffuser
A therapeutic light delivery apparatus and method are disclosed. The apparatus includes a light source and an integrated optical applicator. The integrated optical applicator includes a plurality of light emitting devices and detector fibers fixedly spatially positioned within a flexible matrix material. The light emitting devices can be positioned a predetermined distance from an application side of the integrated optical applicator comprising an accurate and repeatable standoff position. A flexible matrix material is disclosed having a high scattering coefficient to produce a uniform irradiance pattern and predetermined fluence. A method of performing a photodynamic therapy procedure is disclosed that includes providing an integrated optical applicator couple to a therapy light source, providing a photosensitizing drug to a tissue of a patient, positioning an application side of the integrated optical applicator against a target area of the tissue, delivering a therapy light to the target area, and producing an irradiance pattern.
ENHANCED TREATMENT OF BRAIN DISORDERS UTILIZING COORDINATED NEGATIVE SUPPRESSIVE STIMULATION AND RELATED DEVICES DESIGNED TO ACHIEVE TREATMENT
The present invention is directed to enhanced methods of treating brain disorders, and devices suitable to implement these methods. In particular, the methods of treatment and related devices of the present invention utilize the coordinated application of negative suppressive stimulation of the brain hemisphere with the more negative valence in combination with transcranially applied light energy to the lateral forehead to activate the underlying cortex of the brain hemisphere with the more positive valence, e.g., synergistically. In addition, such methods and devices may be suitable to address co-morbid brain disorders (e.g., psychiatric disorder co-morbid with depression) in a more effective manner.
PHOTOTHERAPY DEVICE
A phototherapy device includes a laser light source 8 for emitting laser light toward a target portion, a body part 5, an intake port 12 provided at a side surface of the body part 5, a discharge port 13 provided at the side surface of the body part 5 at an opposite side from the intake port 12, and an air supply device 14 for supplying air to be ejected from the intake port 12 to the inside of the body part 5, the intake port 12 configured so that an ejection direction FO of the air is toward the near side from a center of an emission area A of the laser light at the target portion T.
SYSTEM AND METHOD TO MODULATE PAIN AND ITCH THROUGH CUTANEOUS TRANSFER OF GENETIC INFORMATION
One embodiment is directed to a method for altering the function of the sensory unit that innervates a targeted tissue region in a mammal comprising the steps of identifying the targeted tissue region; cutaneously administering into the targeted tissue region an adeno-associated virus wherein the viral genome encodes at least one exogenous protein; expressing the exogenous protein in the targeted sensory unit; and altering the function of the targeted sensory unit to treat or restore the sensory response because of the exogenous protein expression while not impacting the function of nearby sensory units.
LED PATCH FOR SKIN CARE APPARATUS AND SKIN CARE APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME
An LED patch for a skin care apparatus is provided. An LED patch for a skin care apparatus according to an exemplary example of the present invention comprises: a substrate part; a circuit pattern part formed in at least two layers on the substrate part; a light source part including one or more LEDs mounted on one surface of the substrate part; and a cover part configured to cover at least one surface of the substrate part.
