DENTAL AND MEDICAL TREATMENTS AND PROCEDURES
A method treating a root canal in a tooth by introducing into the pulp chamber of a tooth and pulsing a laser light into the fluid reservoir so as to disintegrate pulp within the root canal without generation of any significant heat in said liquid fluid so as to avoid elevating the temperature of any of the dentin, tooth, or other adjacent tissue more than about 5″ C.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR INDUCING DERMAL BLOOD VESSEL LEAKAGE
The present disclosure relates generally to devices, systems, and methods for diagnosis and treatment via laser-treated skin and, more particularly, to devices, systems, and methods for inducing leakage or rupture of one or more blood vessels comprising the dermis for various diagnostic and therapeutic applications. Other aspects of the present disclosure can include methods for detecting one or more target analytes in a dermis of a subject, methods for facilitating skin-to-blood delivery of agent in a subject, and methods for collecting a fluid sample from the dermis of a subject.
LIGHT THERAPY DELIVERY DEVICES AND METHODS FOR THE FEMALE GENITALIA AND AREAS PROXIMAL THERETO
The present invention relates to light therapy devices and related methods to treat the female genitalia and areas proximal thereto, including the vaginal cavity and vulvar regions in cisgender females or transgender females who have undergone sex reassignment, in particular for post-surgical indications, vaginal rejuvenation, or other medical conditions suitable for treatment with light therapy. The devices and methods are configured to provide a therapeutic amount of low level light therapy to a patient in need of treatment thereof.
Methods and devices for modulating cellular activity using ultrasound
The present invention comprises methods and devices for modulating the activity or activities of living cells, such as cells found in or derived from humans, animals, plants, insects, microorganisms and other organisms. Methods of the present invention comprise use of the application of ultrasound, such as low intensity, low frequency ultrasound, to living cells to affect the cells and modulate the cells' activities. Devices of the present invention comprise one or more components for generating ultrasound waves, such as ultrasonic emitters, transducers or piezoelectric transducers, composite transducers, CMUTs, and which may be provided as single or multiple transducers or in an array configurations. The ultrasound waves may be of any shape, and may be focused or unfocused.
SMART LASER HAIR GROWTH HELMET
A photo-bio-stimulation device uses near infrared (NIR) laser illumination of the scalp to promote hair growth with a lightweight user wearable device. All the remaining components are mounted on the concave underside of an outer cap shell. Many VCSEL laser device chips are surface mount soldered underneath of a single large flexible printed circuit. These discrete devices direct a diffused, near uniform flood of 678-nanometer monochromatic laser light deep into the hair roots and follicles across the scalps of its users. Petal shapes along a central spine are cut deep into the side edges of the flexible printed circuit to allow it to be conformed and fixed into a hemispherical dome and attached with dozens of plastic snaps inside the outer shell. This connects inside to a rechargeable battery and power controller. A protective clear covering matching the concave underside is attached along the brims.
METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT FOR CLEANING OF A CANAL
A method and an arrangement for the cleaning of a circumferentially closed canal using a light guide conducting a laser beam, with the entry of the laser beam into the light guide being interrupted when the free end of the light guide is outside of the canal and/or the movement of the light guide within the canal is monitored and if there is no movement or the movement is below a first threshold value then a signal is triggered and/or the laser radiation is turned off or its output is reduced. The turning off of the laser radiation or its reducing is controlled in dependency of at least one signal change and/or a second threshold and/or a signal change relative to the second threshold determined during at least one course of time starting before and including the entry of the light guide into the canal.
CATHETER SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEDICAL PROCEDURES USING CATHETERS
An intracranial intervention system comprises a seeker wire and delivery catheter used to navigate and access a target location within the intracranial subarachnoid spaces (ISAS) of a patient. A microcatheter is then advanced through the delivery catheter to perform a therapeutic procedure, such as installing a shunt within the ISAS to drain cerebral-spinal fluid (CSF). The shunt may be configured to drain CSF from a first and second ISAS, and includes a distal portion which extends into the first ISAS via the second ISAS and a dural venus sinus (DVS) of the patient. The shunt has a main body portion positioned and secured within the second ISAS, a distal portion extending into the first ISAS and the main body portion in the second ISAS have CSF intake opening which allow CSF to flow into a shunt lumen and out through an outflow opening positioned in the DVS.
A PHOTOBIOMODULATION THERAPY LOW-LEVEL LASER TARGETING SYSTEM
A photobiomodulation therapy low-level laser targeting system has a controller, a low lever laser emitter controlled by the controller and a projector operably coupled to the emitter and controlled by the controller to control the projection direction of light from the emitter. The controller has a targeting controller configured for controlling the projector to project light from the emitter onto a skin surface target area in use to target a subdermal target region.
INTERSTITIAL PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY
A method of administering interstitial photodynamic therapy to a target region of a patient may include receiving information associated with the target region, an initial photosensitizer concentration, a plurality of initial photosensitizer photokinetic rate parameters, and a threshold treatment dose for a photosensitizer, the threshold treatment dose being a threshold photodynamic therapy-dose or a threshold reactive oxygen species dose. A location in the target region for inserting at least one interstitial treatment fiber to deliver the treatment light, and initial values for treatment light transmission is determined. Computational spatial elements are determined for the target region and for the location of emitting surfaces of the at least one interstitial treatment fiber, and a light fluence rate for delivering treatment light to each of the computational spatial elements. A treatment dose is determined based on the light fluence rate, the plurality of photosensitizer photokinetic rate parameters, and a photokinetic rate equation.
