Method for preparing a support and for acoustic management on a turbine engine or a nacelle
The invention relates to acoustic management, on an aircraft turbomachine (3,12) or on a nacelle (1,10), via a panel (30,32). On a support (38) is reserved a recess (34), recessed with respect to a surrounding general surface (36) for contact with moving air. The recess (34) is adapted to receive the panel, as another so-called surface for contact with moving air. The support (38) and/or the panel comprise removable connecting elements for, in the recess (34), mounting it removably with respect to the support, the panel being an acoustic panel or a non-acoustic panel.
METHOD OF METAL WORK REPAIR IN HYBRID COMPOSITE BLADES
A method of repairing a composite blade. The composite blade includes a metal work bonded to a composite part through an adhesive layer. The method includes determining a locally damaged portion of the metal work, and removing a bullet portion corresponding to the locally damaged portion. The method further includes detaching, debonding, and removing a first wing portion from the composite part to obtain a first exposed surface portion. The method further includes detaching, debonding, and removing a second wing portion from the composite part to obtain a second exposed surface portion. The method further includes reconditioning the first and second exposed surface portions to obtain first and second reconditioned surface portions, respectively, and applying first and second adhesive layers to the first and second reconditioned surface portions respectively. The method further includes bonding a metal work patch to the first and second adhesive layers.
PROFILE FOR A TRAILING EDGE OF AN AIRFOIL AND METHOD TO REPAIR THEREOF
A profile for a trailing edge of an airfoil, the trailing edge including flanges, and the profile is U or V shaped, is made of composite material and includes: sections joined at a first profile end and defining an inner space, and recesses arranged along the two sections towards the inner space and complementary to each other between the two sections; wherein the profile is configured to follow a theoretical aerodynamic contour of the airfoil so that the two sections partially cover the trailing edge and the flanges are housed inside the inner space, and wherein each of the plurality of recesses defines at least two joining points through which the two flange of the trailing edge and the two sections are configured to be joined each other.
TOOL AND REPAIR METHOD FOR REMOVING A THERMAL BARRIER COATING
A tool for removing a coating from an interior surface of a component. The tool includes a rotary device; a grinding attachment attached to the rotary device; a tool holder configured to: set an axial position of the grinding attachment coupled to the rotary device over the coating on the interior surface of the component; and set a radial position of the grinding attachment coupled to the rotary device, the radial position defining a cutting depth of the grinding attachment into the coating on the interior surface of the component; and a wheel assembly coupled to the tool holder for guiding the tool holder about an interior perimeter of the component.
COMPOSITE BLADE FOR AN AIRCRAFT ENGINE AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING AND REPAIRING SAME
A process for manufacturing a blade made of composite material for a turbomachine. The blade includes an airfoil having a pressure side and a suction side which extend from a leading edge to a trailing edge of the airfoil. The blade further includes a metal sheath that extends along the leading edge of the airfoil. The process includes the steps of: placing a preform, produced by three-dimensionally weaving fibers, in a mold, the sheath being positioned on an edge of the preform intended to form the leading edge of the airfoil; and injecting polymerizable resin into the mold to impregnate the preform so as to form the airfoil after solidifying. At least one double-sided adhesive film may be inserted between the sheath and the edge of the preform prior to injection of the resin.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ESTIMATING INTEGRITY AND EFFICIENCY OF AN INLET FILTRATION SYSTEM FOR TURBINE SYSTEMS AND FOR RECOMMENDING MITIGATION ACTIONS
A control system for turbine systems configured to provide accurate interpretations of detected particle accumulation, improve performance of turbine systems, and/or minimize costs due to downtime and maintenance are disclosed. The control system may build an intelligent model of fluid flow based on measured data provided by a sensor in a fluid flow path of the turbine system. The intelligent model consults a filter efficiency framework and determines an impact value that quantifies an operational efficiency of the turbine system and may identify a location of possible leakage, estimate a total amount of ingress of particles, identify components of the turbine system that may be operating in a diminished capacity, estimate a risk of damage to components of the turbine system, and/or recommend mitigation actions.
Methods of modifying existing gas turbine engine design to create a combined storage engine and simple cycle peaker product
A method of modifying an existing gas turbine to create a storage engine, the gas turbine having a combustor, a compressor section, and a turbine section, the method comprising modifying the compressor section of the gas turbine to form the storage engine such that air supplied to the combustor of the storage engine is heated by exhaust of the storage engine and is supplied from a remote source.
Device for targeted repair of micro-nano damage of inner ring of aeroengine bearing and method for targeted repair of micro-nano damage of aeroengine bearing based on electric-magnetic composite field
A device for targeted repair of micro-nano damage of an inner ring of an aeroengine bearing by an electric-magnetic composite field includes a driving device, an ultrasonic shot peening device, a pulsed current generator and a magnet yoke-coil device. The driving device includes a motor and a rotating shaft. The motor drives the rotating shaft to drive a bearing inner ring to synchronously rotate. The ultrasonic shot peening device includes an ultrasonic shot peening cavity, an ultrasonic probe and steel balls, the ultrasonic probe extends into the cavity from an opening in a lower end of the cavity, and the steel balls are placed on the ultrasonic probe. An opening in an upper end of the cavity is placed below the bearing inner ring. The pulsed current generator generates pulsed current on the bearing inner ring. The magnet yoke-coil device can excite a magnetic field around the bearing inner ring.
METHOD FOR REFITTING BLADE SHROUDS OF A ROTOR WHEEL IN AN AIRCRAFT TURBOMACHINE
A method for refitting blade shrouds of a rotor wheel in an aircraft turbomachine is described. The rotor wheel has a disc bearing blades that each have an airfoil extending between a root and a shroud, the shroud of each blade having lateral edges comprising including shapes complementary to the lateral edges of the shrouds of the adjacent blades. The lateral edges of the shrouds are interlocked in engagement with one another such that anti-Wear coatings of these edges are in contact With one another in a desired interlocking engagement position, and at least one of the lateral edges of at least one of the shrouds being able to be disengaged from the lateral edge of an adjacent shroud in an undesired disengagement position.
