Blade and gas turbine
A blade and gas turbine include a stationary blade main body provided internally with cavities, and an inner shroud linked to an end portion, in the longitudinal direction, of the stationary blade main body, and which is internally provided with an inner shroud cooling passage with which a first cavity is in fluid communication. The inner shroud is provided, in front edge corner portions, with a first chamfered portion intersecting a front surface, a side surface, and an upper surface, and first cooling holes in fluid communication with the inner shroud cooling passage are provided in the first chamfered portion.
Superalloy part and method of processing
A method for repairing a part and the resulting is disclosed. The method includes positioning a plug having an inner braze element coupled thereto into a cavity defined by an internal surface of a component. The cavity has a circular cross-section at the external surface of the component. The plug completely fills the circular cross-section and the inner braze element is within the cavity. A braze paste is positioned at least partially around the plug at the external surface. The component is positioned such that the inner braze element is above the plug. The component is subjected to a thermal cycle to melt the inner braze element around the plug, completely sealing the cavity by forming a metallurgical bond with the plug and the internal surface of the component. During the thermal cycle the braze paste is melted to form a metallurgical bond with the plug and external surface.
High-temperature component, production method for high-temperature component, and flow rate control method
A high-temperature component including a plurality of cooling passages through which the cooling medium can flow, a header connected to respective downstream ends of the plurality of cooling passages, and one or more outlet passages for discharging the cooling medium flowing into the header to outside of the header. The one or more outlet passages are less in number than the plurality of cooling passages. Respective minimum flow passage cross-sectional areas of the one or more outlet passages are not less than respective flow passage cross-sectional areas of the plurality of cooling passages in a connection between the header and the cooling passages. A sum of the respective minimum flow passage cross-sectional areas of the one or more outlet passages is less than a sum of the respective flow passage cross-sectional areas of the plurality of cooling passages in the connection between the header and the cooling passages.
Thermal management system
A thermal management system is provided for incorporation into a gas turbine engine, wherein the gas turbine engine, the aircraft, or both define a vertical direction. The thermal management system including: a thermal transport bus having a thermal fluid flowing therethrough; a plurality of heat source exchangers in thermal communication with the thermal fluid in the thermal transport bus; and a pump assembly in flow communication with the thermal transport bus, the pump assembly including: a pump; and a pump protection device positioned below the pump along the vertical direction.
RECOVERED-CYCLE AIRCRAFT TURBOMACHINE
An aircraft turbomachine having a centrifugal compressor, an annular combustion chamber, an annular casing extending around the chamber and delimiting an annular space (E) in which the chamber is situated, and a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger can include a first circuit supplied with exhaust gas from the turbomachine, and a second circuit connected by first and second volutes respectively to an outlet of the compressor and to the annular space. The first and second volutes can be positioned at an axial distance from one another, and the second volute is can be connected to the annular space by a straightener which is situated at least in part outside the casing and which is integrated into an annular connecting pipe which connects the second volute to this casing.
DEVICE FOR FILTERING COOLING AIR OF A TURBOMACHINE TURBINE
A device for filtering a flow of cooling air for cooling a low-pressure turbine of a turbomachine, includes a duct having a geometry configured to centrifuge the flow of cooling air passing through the duct, the duct having openings dimensioned to enable a separation of the solid particles contained in the flow of cooling air being centrifuged.
RECOVERED-CYCLE AIRCRAFT TURBOMACHINE
Aircraft turbomachine including a centrifugal compressor, a combustion chamber, the combustion chamber being supplied by the compressor via a diffuser and via a straightener, and a heat exchanger, the exchanger including a first circuit, supplied with exhaust gas from the turbomachine, and a second circuit, which are connected by volutes on the one hand to an outlet of the diffuser and on the other hand to an inlet of the straightener, the volutes having reversed winding directions such that their connection ports to the exchanger are independent of one another and are substantially diametrically opposed, and such that the minimum cross section of each duct is situated at a larger cross section of the other duct.
