WHEEL OF A FLUID FLOW MACHINE
A blade wheel of a turbomachine, which blade wheel has a multiplicity of blades which are suitable and provided for extending radially in a flow path of the turbomachine, wherein the blades form a blade entry angle and a blade exit angle. Provision is made whereby the blade wheel forms N blocks of blades, where N≥2, wherein the blades of a block have in each case the same blade entry angle and the same blade exit angle, and the blades of at least two mutually adjacent blocks have a different blade entry angle and/or a different blade exit angle. According to a further aspect of the invention, partial gaps that the blades form in relation to an adjacent flow path boundary are varied in mutually adjacent blocks.
LAYERED FUSELAGE SHIELD
An aircraft defining a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction is provided. The aircraft includes: a fuselage; an engine mounted at a location spaced from the fuselage of the aircraft, the engine comprising a plurality of rotor blades; and a fuselage shield attached to or formed integrally with the fuselage at a location in alignment with the plurality of rotor blades along the lateral direction, the fuselage shield comprising a first layer defining a first density and a second layer defining a second density, the first density being different than the second density.
AIRCRAFT TURBINE ENGINE COMPRISING VARIABLE-PITCH PROPELLER VANES
Disclosed is a variable pitch propeller blade for an aircraft turbine engine. The blade includes an airfoil connected to a root, the root having a body housed in an annular barrel that extends around a pitch axis of the blade, the body including a free end opposite the airfoil; a shoulder towards the airfoil; and a bulb located between the free end and the shoulder. The bulb can have a cross-section, referred to as the middle section, that has a maximum value Sm, and the barrel can be affixed to the body and covers and matches at least a portion of the bulb and the shoulder.
ASSEMBLY COMPRISING A VANE AND A VANE PITCH SETTING SYSTEM
An assembly for an aircraft turbine engine is provided. The assembly generally includes an un-ducted propeller blade of which the root has a bulbous portion; a system for setting the pitch of the blade about a pitch setting axis, the pitch setting system including a cup, configured to be placed inside the outer casing, has a flared open top end for axial insertion of the root and in which the root of the blade can be axially affixed by a locking member; and at least one radial retention prong in a radial space reserved between the wall of the cup and the root.
AIRCRAFT TURBINE ENGINE COMPRISING VARIABLE PITCH PROPELLER BLADES
An assembly including a propeller blade and a pitch adjustment system for setting the pitch of the blade. A root of the blade has a bulb and the pitch adjustment system for setting the pitch of the blade includes a cup having an upper opening; a retaining ring, which extends around the bulb, is restricted at least in terms of axial movement towards the opening relative to the cup and has a bearing face to inhibit axial movement of the root towards the opening The pitch adjustment system being further includes a lower seat for the root to engage the cup, the seat and/or the retaining ring being mounted so as to be capable of axial translation relative to the cup by at least one clamping mechanism.
AIRCRAFT TURBINE ENGINE COMPRISING VARIABLE-PITCH PROPELLER BLADES
A system for controlling the pitch of a propeller blade for an aircraft turbine engine, including a cup having an annular wall extending about an axis intended to be a pitch setting axis of the blade, and a bottom wall configured so as to cooperate in a form-fitting manner with a free end of the root so that the cup is prevented from rotating relative to the root about the axis, and a locking ring that is configured so as to be mounted within the cup and to cooperate respectively with the root and the annular wall of the cup in order to ensure axial retention of the root in the cup.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REGULATING THE THRUST OF AN AIRCRAFT TURBOMACHINE
A method and system control the thrust of an aircraft turbomachine having a high bypass ratio by direct action on a variable-pitch system. The variable-pitch system varies the pitch of the vanes of a stator of a low-pressure compressor for the open-loop control of the thrust of the turbomachine. The method also provides closed-loop control of the pitch of the blades of a propeller based on a rotational speed of the propeller.
Passive thrust bearing angle
An implantable blood pump includes a tube including an inner wall, and wherein during operation of the blood pump, the impeller rotates within the tube and a distance between the inner wall of the tube and the thrust bearing decreases as a speed of the impeller increases.
Flapping hinge for a fan blade
An engine defining a longitudinal axis includes: a turbomachine; a fan drivingly coupled with the turbomachine, the fan being a forward thrust fan and having: a hub; a plurality of fan blades, the plurality of fan blades comprising a first fan blade; and a flapping hinge integrated into the first fan blade or coupled to the fan blade, at least a portion of the first fan blade moveable about the flapping hinge to define a variable angle with the longitudinal axis.
