Fluid pump
A fluid pump includes a pump casing, a motor connected to the pump casing, and an impeller driven by the motor. The motor includes a housing and a stator arranged in the casing. The housing is made of a non-magnetic material. The stator includes a stator iron core and a plurality of windings wound on the stator iron core. The motor further includes a sleeve having a cylindrical main body and a flange extending radially outwards from one end of the main body and fixed to the housing. An annular space is jointly bounded by the sleeve and the housing to accommodate the stator. A part of inner surface of the housing and a part of bottom surface of the flange facing the annular space are coated with a metal coating for electromagnetic wave shielding.

INSERTS FOR AIRFOILS OF GAS TURBINE ENGINES
Baffle inserts for airfoils of gas turbine engines are described. The baffle inserts include a baffle insert body having a first side portion and a second side portion, wherein each side portion has a respective end, a first set of vortex generation elements is arranged at the end of the first side portion, and a second set of vortex generation elements is arranged at the end of the second side portion. The first set of vortex generation elements and the second set of vortex generation elements are arranged at an aft end of the baffle insert body.
Ceramic matrix composite assembly with compliant pin attachment features
An assembly adapted for use in a gas turbine engine. The assembly includes a support component comprising metallic materials, a supported component comprising ceramic matrix composite materials, and an attachment pin configured to couple the supported component to the support component. The attachment pin includes compliant features to distributes loads applied to the supported component.
Turbine shroud assembly with ceramic matrix composite components having stress-reduced pin attachment
A turbine shroud assembly is adapted to extend around a turbine wheel mounted for rotation about a central reference axis of a gas turbine engine. The turbine shroud assembly includes a carrier segment made from metallic materials and a blade track segment made from ceramic matrix composite materials. The carrier extends at least partway about the axis. The blade track segment is supported by the carrier radially relative to the axis to define a portion of a gas path of the assembly.
INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
An internal combustion engine includes: a cylinder in which a piston reciprocates; a stepped portion that is formed on an upper end portion of an inner peripheral surface of the cylinder; and a ring member having a cylindrical shape provided to the stepped portion. The thickness of the ring member decreases toward the bottom dear center of the piston, and an outer peripheral surface of the ring member is an inclined surface, where a lower end of the outer peripheral surface is positioned closer to the center in the radial direction of the ring member than an upper end of the outer peripheral surface.
Impeller with protection elements and centrifugal compressor
The impeller includes a main body with a root, a shroud and a plurality of blades connecting the root and the shroud. Protection elements are associated to the blades and constitute at least the front part of the blades. The protection elements may consist of separate bodies or may be grouped together to form one or more protection bodies. In an embodiment, the material of the protection elements is different from the material of the main body, and may be, for example, a cobalt base alloy having a chromium content greater than 20% or nickel base alloy having a chromium content greater than 12%.
Nanocellular foam damper
A machine includes a section that defines a target vibrational mode to dampen and a nanocellular foam damper that includes interconnected ligaments in a cellular structure. The interconnected ligaments have an average ligament size defined with respect to a vibrational loss modulus of the nanocellular foam damper and the target vibrational mode. Also disclosed is a method of damping vibration.
Rolling bearing
A rolling bearing includes an inner ring, an outer ring, rolling elements, and a retainer that holds the rolling elements. The retainer includes a metal portion and a sliding resin portion The metal portion has communication holes each having a plurality of openings on the surface of the metal portion, and the sliding resin portion is disposed in the communication holes.
Magnetic drive and hybrid pump including the same
A hybrid pump includes an impeller, a magnetic drive configured to control rotation of the impeller, a drive shaft combined with the magnetic drive and a motor. The drive shaft rotates in response to rotation of an axis of the motor, the magnetic drive rotates when the drive shaft rotates, the impeller rotates in response to rotation of the magnetic drive, a drive body of the magnetic drive is formed of plastic, and the drive shaft is formed of metal.
