Vortex ring generation device
A vortex ring generation device includes a casing having a gas passage and a discharge port, and an extrusion mechanism that extrudes a gas in the gas passage such that the gas in a vortex ring shape is discharged from the discharge port. V (m.sup.3) represents an extrusion volume, D (m) represents a diameter of the discharge port, L (m) represents a length of a cylinder having the diameter D and the volume V, and Re represents a Reynolds number of the discharged gas. 500Re3000 and 0.5L/D2.0.
Fluidic device
A fluidic device for providing analogue output control includes a main channel, a first control channel, a second control channel, a comparator which receives respective input fluid flows from the main, the first and the second control channels. The first control channel is configured such that the input fluid flow therefrom carries an oscillating pressure wave signal, the second control channel includes a flow regulator controllable to vary the mass flow rate of the input fluid flow from the second control channel, and the main channel is configured such that the input fluid flow therefrom is at a reference mass flow rate. The comparator is configured such that the input fluid flows from the first control and the second control channels act in combination on the input fluid flow from the main channel to produce an output fluid flow from the comparator having a PWM mass flow rate characteristic.

Total isolation diverter valve
The invention describes a total isolation diverter valve comprising a valve body whereon a main inlet conduit for inletting a fluid, a first outlet conduit for outletting the fluid and at least one second outlet conduit for outletting the fluid are obtained. The first outlet conduit for outletting the fluid is provided with a first fluid adhesion inner surface and the second fluid outlet conduit is provided with a second fluid adhesion inner surface. Between the main fluid inlet conduit and the two fluid outlet conduits a connection channel is interposed. On the connection channel at least one device for perturbing at least one of the first fluid adhesion inner surface and the second fluid adhesion inner surface is provided. The perturbation device is configured so as to cause a deviation of the fluid flow from the first fluid outlet conduit to the second fluid outlet conduit or vice-versa by exploiting a physical effect called Coand{hacek over (a)} effect. The perturbation device comprises at least one perturbation orifice, which faces the first fluid adhesion inner surface, and at least one opening/closing element, configured for opening and sealingly closing a respective perturbation orifice.
SYNCHRONIZATION OF FLUIDIC ACTUATORS
A fluidic system is disclosed. The system comprises a plurality of fluidic oscillatory actuators, and at least one synchronization conduit connecting two or more of the actuators such as to effect synchronization between oscillations in the two or more connected actuators.
