The second body has an outer surface and an inner surface defining a cylindrical wall, the cylindrical wall defining a cylindrical opening, a first retention opening extending through the cylindrical wall and a second retention opening extending through the cylindrical wall. The first body translates within the cylindrical opening of the second body and the locking member engages with the first retention opening to position the alignment device in a first position and the locking member engages with the second retention opening to position the alignment device in a second position.

The present application provides a fastening clamp, used for connecting a first component to a second component having a connecting post. The fastening clamp includes: a substrate on which a mounting hole is provided; at least two first retaining legs, and at least two second retaining legs, where the mounting hole is used to receive the connecting post of the second component, proximal ends of the at least two first retaining legs are connected to an edge of the mounting hole, proximal ends of the at least two second retaining legs are connected to the edge of the mounting hole, and the at least two first retaining legs and the at least two second retaining legs are on the same side of the substrate; where distal ends of the at least two second retaining legs are closer to the substrate than distal ends of the two first retaining legs, and the at least two first retaining legs and the at least two second retaining legs are configured to be able to collectively retain the connecting post of the second component in the mounting hole. The fastening clamp in the present application can be mounted on a cylindrical connecting post.

Methods and apparatus for forming node to panel joints

A node to panel interface structure for use in a transport structure such as a vehicle is disclosed. In an aspect, the node includes a base, first and second sides protruding from the base to form a recess for receiving a panel, ports for adhesive injection and/or vacuum generation, one or more adhesive regions disposed on a surface of each side adjacent the panel, and at least one channel coupled between the first and second ports and configured to fill the adhesive regions with an adhesive, the adhesive being cured to form a node-panel interface. The node may be additively manufactured. In an exemplary embodiment, the node may use sealant features for including sealants that border and define the adhesive regions, and that may hermetically seal the region before and after adhesive injection. In another embodiment, the node may include isolation features for including isolators for inhibiting galvanic corrosion. In another aspect, adhesive may be filled serially on the adhesive regions on the first side and then on the adhesive regions on the second side. Adhesive may alternatively may be filled in parallel, or concurrently, on the adhesive regions of both sides.
