A mounting device including a base having an open bottom, a longitudinal axis, and a linear guide on the base. The linear guide guides support hardware in linear movement along the longitudinal axis. An internal cavity is under the base for containing a sealant against and in cooperation with a roof when the mounting device is secured to the roof. An opening is though the base is for receiving a fastener when the mounting device is secured to the roof. The opening is in communication with the internal cavity. The linear guide extends beyond the internal cavity.

The invention relates to a playground comprising a number of pillars of a circular cross sectional area, and a series of playground elements including floor panels and side panels, and a series of brackets for attachment of the playground elements to the pillars. The brackets comprise an element coupling portion adapted to be fastened to a playground element and a pillar coupling portion adapted to be fastened to a side portion of a pillar. Here, the pillar coupling portion comprising a contact face curved to lie against pillar and a boring for receiving a fastening member which is oriented such that the bracket when fastened to the pillar is attached by the fastening member inserted from the bracket and into the pillar in a radial direction of the pillar. The series of brackets comprises brackets with element coupling portions adapted to be fastened to each of the playground elements in the series of playground elements, and all the brackets in the series comprise essentially identical pillar coupling portions such that all the brackets are adapted to be attached to the pillars in the same way. The invention also relates to a method of assembling such a playground. The series of playground elements may include floor panels, side panels, a series of bars of predefined diameters and chains.

A quick-release device is for securing a rod of any gas cylinder into the plate of any chair, item of furniture, or other device supported by a gas cylinder and activating the rod with a button thereon. This universal quick-release device includes a sleeve in in the seat plate, an adapter fit into the sleeve, the adapter including an upper portion and a lower portion with different inner and outer diameters. The sleeve is configured to receive the lower portion of the adapter in a press-fit engagement. The upper portion is configured to receive the rod of the gas cylinder in a removable engagement.

A kit of parts for use in demountably configuring a variety of structural assemblies. A kit may comprise a plurality of cylindrical structural components configured for engagement with various types of male connector components along the sides or at the ends of the cylindrical structural components, there provided for demountable engagement of a female-end socket component at the end of another cylindrical structural component. The kit may additionally comprise components for one or more of roller carriage assemblies and/or one or more of sliding carriage assemblies configured for rolling or sliding movement along rail assemblies comprising a plurality of cylindrical, square, rectangular, or octagonal track components. The rail assemblies may be supported by bases comprising the cylindrical structural components and other components such as weight components, as well as threaded foot components or threaded caster components on which the rail assemblies can be adjustably levelled.

A selectively adjustable and lockable utility mount is used to mount a device to a stable structure. The utility mount includes a hydraulic lock that applies the locking force that maintains the locked condition of the utility mount. Mounting brackets for utility mounts have spaced-apart mount elements that engage a surface of a stable structure. An autonomous mobile device has a tower extending from a main body. The tower pans from left to right. An extensible mast may extend through, and pan with, the tower. An upper section is attached to the tower by a hinge and may tilt with respect to the tower. The upper section may include a touchscreen or other devices. An assembly with separate pan and tilt motors allows for the tower and attached upper section to pan while also allowing the upper section to tilt independently of the panning motion. The tilt motor is within the portion of the assembly rotated by the pan motor. The tilt motor drives a worm gear in the tower to rotate a tilt axle. An asymmetric friction hinge connects to the upper section to the tilt axle. Rotating the tilt motor rotates the worm gear, rotating the tilt axle and the attached upper section.
