NON-PLANAR FEATURES FOR FASTENED CONNECTION
20220034345 · 2022-02-03 · ·

Apparatuses, systems, and methods are disclosed for non-planar features for a fastened connection. A forming die is shaped to be disposed between at least two members of a fastened connection. One or more non-planar features are integrally formed from a continuous material of the forming die to at least partially deform the at least two members at an interface between the at least two members.

ADHESIVE TAPE PARTICULARLY FOR OILY SURFACES

The invention relates to an adhesive tape, comprising at least one layer of a first, heat-curable adhesive material and, on one of the surfaces of the heat-curable adhesive material layer, a layer of a second, pressure-sensitive adhesive material, characterized in that the second, pressure-sensitive adhesive material is based on one or more unvulcanized rubbers having a saturated carbon chain of the polymethylene type.

Hammer head with interference fit
11148271 · 2021-10-19 · ·

A dead blow hammer head with end caps coupled to a central body through an interference fit. The ends of the body can be flared axially and radially outward and interference fit with the recesses to maximize the surface area overlap between the ends of the body and the recesses. By maximizing the surface area overlap, stress concentrations and failure are reduced. The hammer head can also include a shot or other mass that is unobstructed by screws or pins due to the interference fit of the hammer head components. The interference fit can become stronger during use with each impact further solidifying the surface area overlap between the ends and central portion of the hammer head.

Fastener systems and assemblies for coupling a part to a composite structure, and related methods
11181137 · 2021-11-23 · ·

Fastener systems may be used to couple a part to a composite structure such that at least a portion of the fastener system is embedded within the composite structure, and such that the fastener system may be installed via access to just one side of the composite structure. Examples of fastener systems include a receptacle that is inserted through at least one layer of the composite structure and a torque nail that is inserted into the receptacle, thereby expanding the receptacle into a collar plate, which is configured to distribute the forces from insertion of the torque nail. The collar plate is enclosed between respective laminates of the composite structure, such that the fastener system is configured to couple the part to the composite structure, either directly or via a structural connector, without the use of conventional drilling and bolting.

FASTENING ASSEMBLY FOR ELECTRIC AND/OR ELECTRONIC DEVICES THAT CAN BE BUILT-IN
20210222715 · 2021-07-22 ·

A fastening assembly for electric and/or electronic devices that can be built in includes a frame (2) and claws (3) adapted to secure the frame (2) to the wall or box where it is built-in, showing at least two claws (3) of which at least one is flexible and independent from the frame (2) and can be joined to the frame (2) by temporarily deforming the claw (3) generating when joined to the frame (2) at least three unaligned bearing points between the claw (3) and the frame (2). The frame (2) includes at least one hollow (21) and at least two supporting points (20), and the claw (3) two bearing points (30), can be introduced in the hollow (21) of the frame (2) and when the claw (3) is released, the the bearing points (30) or clipping flanges are coincident with the supporting points or mortises (20) of the frame (2).

Structural member and/or coupling arrangement and/or method for same

A structural has a coupling region. The coupling region is a region where a fitting and a beam section of the structural member meet and over such region a nipping sleeve of the structural member is over-molded.

Connection Arrangement of Two Components
20210071697 · 2021-03-11 ·

A connection arrangement (4, 4) of two components (1, 2) according to the invention has a curved surface portion having a contact point on at least one of these components. The curved surface portion can extend over the entire surface of a groove, for example. The other component has a taper. When assembling the two components before a force is applied, a line connection is created from the 2-contact point connection and when force is applied, the line connection changes through plastic deformation into a strip connection, on the basis of which the two components (1, 2) hold together.

Method for joining members, and joint body

A method for joining members includes: providing a wall surface body which is a die-molded article provided with a hole portion with a draft angle provided from its opposite end portions toward its center portion, a tubular body with a hollow shape, and an elastic body; inserting the tubular body into the hole portion in the wall surface body; inserting the elastic body into the inside of the tubular body; and compressing the elastic body in the direction of an axial line L of the tubular body to expand the elastic body outwardly in the radial direction of the axial line L, thereby deforming and expanding the tubular body to joint the tubular body to the wall surface body by press-fitting.

METHODS OF INSTALLING PRE-MOLDED SEAL CAPS
20210025420 · 2021-01-28 ·

A method of installing pre-molded seal caps onto fasteners that extend from a surface comprises sequentially delivering the pre-molded seal caps, arranged on a carrier strip, to a plunger mechanism via a feed system. The method also comprises sequentially removing the pre-molded seal caps from the carrier strip using the plunger mechanism, operating in concert with the feed system. The method further comprises individually installing the pre-molded seal caps onto selected ones of the fasteners using the plunger mechanism.
