Method and apparatus for flange clip for support channel
Method and apparatus for a flanged clip for a support channel according to various aspects of the present technology comprise a flanged end clip bonded to an end of a support channel. The flanged clip may have one or more surfaces configured to provide a stronger bonding between the flanged clip and the support channel.
PANEL STRUCTURE
A panel structure including structural members connected together by a friction stir welding process. The structure includes a plurality of cross members, wherein each of the plurality of cross members is parallel to the other cross members in the plurality of cross members and wherein at least one of the plurality of cross members. An end cap member is positioned orthogonally to each of the plurality of cross members and connected to an end of each of the plurality of cross members. The end cap member includes a plurality of flanges, and each of the plurality of flanges includes a chamfered portion that fits within an opening at the end of one of the plurality of cross members.
JOINTED METAL PLATES AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
Jointed metal plates and the manufacturing method thereof are provided, in which a first plate can be end-to-end connected to a second plate. The first plate has protrusions on its jointing edge, while the second plate has recesses on its jointing edge. The protrusions of the first plate are embedded in the recesses of the second plate respectively in a manner that the first plate is fixed with respect to the second plate. Thereby, welding process can be omitted when two metal plates are to be fixed end-to-end. The disadvantages of the welding process can be prevented. The manufacturing efficiency can be increased, while the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
COUPLING STRUCTURE
A coupling structure includes a welding member formed of resin and a welded member that is formed of resin and to which the welding member is welded. In the welding member, a region that is welded to the welded member on the rear side in a predetermined direction is smaller than a region that is welded to the welded member on the front side in the predetermined direction.
WATER STOP MOUNTING STRUCTURE OF BOLT TO PLATE-LIKE METAL MEMBER
A water stop mounting structure of a bolt to a plate-like metal member where a caulking bolt is used in which a screwless portion between an upper end of a male screw of the caulking bolt and a bearing surface of a head portion of the bolt thicker than an effective diameter of the male screw. Inserting this caulking bolt into the pilot hole of the plate-like metal member and caulking, metal of a circumferential edge portion of the pilot hole is plastically deformed toward the screwless portion to be brought in close contact with the screwless portion, and water is stopped. Applying sealant to a bearing surface of the caulking bolt produces a structure in which the sealant flows between the circumferential edge portion of the pilot hole of the plate-like metal member and the bolt at the time of being press-fitted and water is stopped.
METAL JOINT AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a metal joint that promotes adhesion between metallic joint surfaces to improve joint strength. Pulse lasers are illuminated to at least surface portions, where riveting is to be implemented, of surfaces of metal plates (1), so that the surface portions are molten and solidified to form surface modification thin films (4); and multiple metal plates (1) are stacked to form a laminated metal plate (5) by facing the surface modification thin films (4) to each other, and pressurized shaping is performed on the laminated metal plate (5) by using a punch (7) and a die (6) to implement riveting.
Functional component, component assembly comprising a functional component, and method for securing a functional component to a holding component
A functional component which is designed to be secured to a holding component by pressing a connecting element into a depression of the holding component. In a non-deformed state, the connecting element protrudes in a press-in direction from a base body of the functional component and is designed to be deformed by applying a force to the base body, so that the connecting element is widened in an end area and the end area is introduced into a wall of the depression. The base body includes a contact surface surrounding the connecting element which abuts a support surface of the holding component in a coupled state of the functional component. A functional module of the functional component is provided by a partial area of the base body facing away from the contact surface.
