Fastener Arrangement
20230023576 · 2023-01-26 ·

A fastener arrangement with a fastener designed for fastening to a substrate by means of an adhesive agent, and with an object having an object mount, whereby the object mount can be fixed to the fastener fastened to the substrate. The fastener has a reinforcement part composed of a metallic material, the side wall elements of which are mounted between a retaining ring and edge segments of a holder. The side wall elements of the reinforcement part are designed for fixing the object mount. The fastener has a press-on element bounding an adhesive reservoir, wherein adhesive agent can be guided out of the adhesive reservoir through openings in the reinforcement part and in the holder by a displacement of the press-on element in the axial direction, such that the adhesive agent fixes the fastener to the substrate.

System for fastening cooling elements

A system for fastening cooling elements to a component includes a base device with rows of heating elements to support a bottom side of the component, and a gripping device arranged on the base device and including a corresponding number of rows with rail elements configured to temporarily hold the cooling elements on the gripping device and arranged such that an nth row of heating elements is congruent with an nth row of rail elements. An adhesive joint is applied onto a component topside in strips congruent with the rows of heating elements. The gripping device arranges the cooling elements on the strips of the adhesive joint and presses them against the topside of the component, wherein the heating elements heat the adhesive joint between the cooling elements and the component topside to a temperature which is at least as high as a curing temperature of the adhesive joint.

Support bracket for holding interior components of a vehicle

A support bracket for holding interior components of a vehicle includes a base plate and an add-on module, which are engageable with each other to facilitate replacement and maintenance.

Method of making marine decking
11560911 · 2023-01-24 · ·

A marine deck member with enhanced surface traction and the process for forming the same. The marine deck member comprises a sandwich-type composite panel made by a compression molding process. In such a process, the panel is made by subjecting a heated stack of layers of material to cold-pressing in a mold. The cellular core has a 2-D array of cells, each of the cells having an axis substantially perpendicular to the outer surfaces, and extending in the space between the layers or skins, with end faces open to the respective layers or skins. The surface traction of this type of composite panel can be enhanced for marine deck applications by controlled debossing, or embossing, of the first skin while it cools in the compression mold. The debossing effect can be effected by applying pressurized gas, e.g., pressurized air, onto the outer surface of the first skin while in the compression mold. The embossing can be effected by applying vacuum pressure on the outer surface of the first skin while in the compression mold.

Quick connect

An electrical connection assembly includes an electrical box including a housing having an internal surface defining an internal volume of the housing. An electrical connector is positioned outside the internal volume of the housing and fixed to the housing with a fastener. The housing includes an aperture having an opening defining an insertion path extending from a location external to the housing along a frame of the electrical connector to a location within the internal volume of the housing. The assembly includes a disc mechanically secured to the housing relative to the opening to obstruct the insertion path. A retainer and a bushing including a membrane for the electrical connector as well as methods of making an electrical connector are also provided.

Device for automatically installing lamp tube of intelligent LED lamp cap

A device for automatically installing a lamp tube of an intelligent LED lamp cap, including a first feeding device for feeding a heat sink base and a second feeding device for feeding a LED lamp bead out to an outlet of the first feeding device and assembling the LED lamp bead with the heat sink base. A third feeding device is arranged on a side of the first feeding device for feeding a lamp tube. A positioning-mounting mechanism is arranged on a side of the third feeding device and is configured to assemble the heat sink base with a lamp tube. A lead wire threading device is arranged on a side of the positioning-mounting mechanism and is configured to guide a lead wire of the LED lamp bead to pass through a mounting hole on the heat sink base.

ASSEMBLY OF METAL PIPES WITH TWO-COMPONENT POLYURETHANE ADHESIVE

Described herein is a method for joining a first metal pipe with a second metal pipe, the pipes being joined together in an overlapping area by use of a two-component polyurethane adhesive that encapsulates the overlapping area, where the method includes the steps of:

(1) applying the two-component polyurethane adhesive onto an inner surface of a fixture;
(2) inserting one end of the first metal pipe into one end of the second metal pipe so as to form a pipe assembly having the overlapping area between the two ends, and putting the overlapping area of the pipe assembly into the fixture; (3) closing the fixture such that the overlapping area of the pipe assembly is fixed in the fixture, and such that the adhesive therein encapsulates the overlapping area of the pipe assembly; (4) curing the two-component polyurethane adhesive; and (5) optionally, removing the fixture from the pipe assembly.

PIVOTING FASTENER ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A pivoting fastener assembly for securely fastening a panel in spaced relation to a support backing, and a method of manufacturing the same. The fastener assembly includes: a magnet-carrier assembly that includes a magnet that is fixed to a carrier member; and a base member that includes a base portion and a pivoting portion. The pivoting portion includes a head, a trunk, and an extension portion that is connected to the base portion. The extension portion includes a top side that connects a first peripheral surface to a second peripheral surface of the extension portion. A first end of the trunk is connected to the top side of the extension portion and a second end of the trunk is connected to the head. The base member is a unitary piece, and the head of the pivoting portion engages and retains the carrier member of the magnet-carrier assembly.

Systems and methods for joining a first structure and a second structure with vacuum dispersion process

An example method of joining a first structure and a second structure is described that includes forming a bond cavity between a first structure and a second structure, placing a semi-permeable breather material at one or more exits of the bond cavity, placing a vacuum bag around the bond cavity and the semi-permeable breather material, evacuating the bond cavity via a vacuum port and forcing adhesive into the bond cavity via an adhesive port while the bond cavity is evacuated, and curing the adhesive via one or more heaters to bond the first structure to the second structure.

Vehicle Having a Spoiler and Method for Mounting a Spoiler on a Vehicle
20230211835 · 2023-07-06 ·

A vehicle has a spoiler fastened to an outer skin component of the vehicle. For this purpose, clip elements are provided on the outer skin component and are in engagement with corresponding mating clip elements of the spoiler. The clip elements have an end stop in a z-direction, which is oriented transversely to the surface of the outer skin component. Between the spoiler and the outer skin component there is an intermediate element, which is elastically compressed in the z-direction and presses the spoiler against the end stop. A method is provided for mounting the spoiler on the vehicle.
