Fasteners and related systems according to the invention include a collet body having a first part of a two part anti-rotation arrangement and a cylinder body having a second part of the two part anti-rotation arrangement wherein the collet body and the cylinder body are mateably axially translatable with respect to each other, and have the same or similar outer diameter in some embodiments or not in others. A threaded member rotationally engages the collet body and compressively contacts the cylinder body during operation of the fastener to creating a clamping effect. Rotational interference between the first and second parts of the anti-rotation arrangement preferably occurs at sectional face portions of at least the collet body. Resistance to induced rotation of the cylinder body relative to a work piece rotation of the threaded member is preferably provided by a tool engaging a tool interface present on the cylinder body.

Double connector for butt-joining two parts

A double connector for butt-joining two components includes two connector components which can be pushed together as far as a locked assembly position and which each have an spreadable first end portion for inserting into a hole of a component, and a second end portion for spreading the first end portion of the other connector component in each case in the assembly position and at least one locking portion for interlocking the two connector components in the assembly position.

Arranging a composite element at a component

Disclosed here is a method for arranging at least one composite element at a component. The composite element includes a sleeve element and an insert element. The method involves: arranging the sleeve element in a bore of the component; connecting the sleeve element and the insert element so that a composite element is formed; inserting an engagement apparatus in the composite element, wherein the engagement apparatus aligns and/or assembles the sleeve element and the insert element to each other. Also disclosed here is use of an engagement apparatus and at least one composite element for arranging the composite element at a component. The at least one composite element includes a sleeve element and an insert element. The engagement apparatus aligns and/or assembles the sleeve element and the insert element to each other.
