Wall Hook and Anchor Nail Fastening System
A hook mounting system of a unibody structure with three platforms that face an angled hole. The hook system includes nails adapted to be particularly suitable for mounting the hook and platform deformable inserts to receive the nails. The system is adapted for a rod hanging assembly. The system includes a nail having a non-circular shank portion and a head portion.
Portal frame with lap joint for moment resistance
A lateral force resistance system for a building is provided wherein a portal frame is constructed with a lapped connection between the supported structural member and the supporting structural member and the supporting structural member is made with an elongated member that spans the width of the supporting structural member and the height of the supporting structural member.
COVERED OPENING FASTENER
Implementations of a covered opening fastener are provided. In some implementations, the covered opening fastener comprises a shelf and a shaft or one or more spikes.
In some implementations, a method for using the covered opening fastener comprises attaching the covered opening fastener to an edge portion of a first object, such as a first roofing part, and driving the covered opening fastener into and/or through a second object, such as a second roofing part, to thereby attach the first object and the second object together by the covered opening fastener without forming an opening through the first object.
WALL ANCHORING ASSEMBLIES FOR HEAVY OBJECTS
The present disclosure provides several anchor assemblies for hanging or otherwise securing an object to a wall, particularly those with wallboards including gypsum. The assemblies include a frame and an insert that cooperate to provide a mounting surface. At least one of the frame and insert include one or more prongs for penetrating wallboard. The anchor can be secured to and removed from the wall with relative ease, while causing minimal damage to any punctured wallboard.
Magnetic fastener technology for wallboard panels
A fastener is provided and is configured for securing magnetized items to a wallboard panel. Included on the fastener is a fastener body having a first side and an opposite second side, and a counter-sunk throughbore extends from the first side to the second side. The body has a tapered peripheral edge. In addition, the first side is covered with wallboard joint tape.
Method of fastening a panel
A fastener includes a self-locking pin washer and at least one elongate projection mounted on the self-locking pin washer, where the self-locking pin washer is arranged to be a resistance fit to a projection mounted on a structure or vehicle. A method of fastening a panel to a substrate includes attaching a fastener to a projection of a substrate, wherein the fastener includes an elongate projection that is longer than the projection. The method further includes attaching a panel onto the elongate projection of the fastener.
LUMBER ASSEMBLY AND FINISHING SYSTEM
A lumber assembly and finishing system for use in assembling constructs includes a lumber table configured to support arranged pieces of lumber. A press station presses nailing plates into the pieces of lumber to join the pieces of lumber together to form the lumber construct. A lumber construct transporter moves the arranged pieces of lumber from the lumber table to the press station while keeping the pieces of lumber in their arranged configuration.
WALL ANCHOR ASSEMBLIES AND RELATED WALL MOUNT SYSTEMS
An anchor assembly for hanging an object on a wall includes a first anchor component and a second anchor component. The second anchor component is pivotably associated with the first anchor component for movement between an anchoring orientation and a non-anchoring orientation to enable staged installation of the anchor assembly into a wall. At least one wall penetrating retainer extends from each of the first and second anchor components. When the second anchor component is in the anchoring orientation a curved configuration of the wall penetrating extent of the retainer of the second anchor component opposes a curved configuration of the wall penetrating extent of the retainer of the first anchor component to form a jaw-type arrangement.
Self-piercing fastener
A self-piercing fastener having a planar base plate with a top, a bottom, and a peripheral edge. A plurality of prongs are fixed to the peripheral edge and extend downward past the bottom of the baseplate. Each of the prongs has a central axis and an arrowhead-shaped barb fixed to a distal end. Each barb has opposed front edges extending from the tip, and opposed back edges oriented at a reverse acute angle relative to the central axis of the prong. Each barb is adapted to fixedly embed in the interior of a panel to which the fastener is affixed.
