A pass through fitting for a cable or the like comprises a split bolt having a threaded shank and a nut which can be locked on the shank to prevent rotation therebetween. A passageway extends through the split bolt for receiving one or more cables. The fitting would be supported in a structure, such as a boat hull, through which it is desired to run the cable. The fitting may be sealed at the head, against the structure, to be watertight.

HIGH SECURITY FASTENER

A security fastener for installation on a wheel having a recess hole extending from a recess entrance of a first diameter comprising an end portion concentric with a longitudinal axis of the fastener, the end portion configured to mate with a corresponding element of the recess hole, an intermediate skirt portion having a side wall region with a diameter within about 6 millimeters of the diameter of the recess entrance, a drive portion having a tapered outer surface and a plurality of circumferentially spaced longitudinally extending key-receiving grooves in the tapered outer surface arranged in a lock pattern to which a driving torque may be applied, the tapered outer surface sloping downward and outward away from the longitudinal axis of the fastener from a top surface to the skirt portion at a taper angle of at least 11 degrees.

Fittings, Components, and Associated Tools

Described are fittings, components, and associated tools for use in coupling pipe or tubing. The described fittings generally include a unitary body having an outer surface and an inner lumen forming a void within said unitary body. The lumen is configured to receive threads for mating with the threads of a female sub end of a pipe or tube. The outer surface includes at least one aperture for receiving a tool that can be inserted within said aperture so as to rotate the fitting about an axis that extends through the lumen of the unitary body. The at least one apertures provide a safe and convenient way to tighten and loosen the fitting during the process of coupling pipe or tubing.

Stick fit fastener recess system

A fastener includes a screw head that includes a driven protrusion having four driven wall portions and four guiding wall portions which are disposed about a central axis of the fastener in an alternating arrangement. The driven wall portions are equiangularly spaced apart from each other. Each of the guiding wall portions is straight, and has two opposite ends that are respectively connected to two of the driven wall portions adjacent to the guiding wall portion. A ratio of a longest distance between two of the driven wall portions that are non-adjacent to each other to a longest distance between two of the driven wall portions that are adjacent to each other is greater than 1.16. Each of the driven wall portions has a curved section and two straight sections. A central angle of the curved section of each of the driven wall portions is smaller than 180 degrees.

A screw bit body which allows for efficient torque force application onto a socket fastener. The screw bit body includes a plurality of laterally-bracing sidewalls, a first base, and a second base. The laterally-bracing sidewalls are radially distributed about a rotation axis of the screw bit body with each further including a first lateral edge, a second lateral edge, a bracing surface, and an engagement cavity. The engagement cavity creates an additional gripping point to prevent slippage in between the screw bit body and the socket fastener. The engagement cavity traverses normal and into the bracing surface. Additionally, the engagement cavity traverses into the screw bit body from the first base to the second base. The engagement cavity is specifically positioned offset from the first lateral edge by a first distance.

Sequential torque application retention system

A sequential torque application retention system includes a driver mechanism having a shaft; a center drive coupled to a tip end; an outboard drive coupled to the tip end; a screw including a screw head with a central receiver, the central receiver corresponding to the center drive, the central receiver configured to receive the center drive; a pair of outboard receivers formed in the screw head corresponding to the outboard drive, the pair of outboard receivers configured to receive the outboard drive; wherein the center drive is engaged with the screw head at the central receiver responsive to an initial torque and the outboard drive is engaged with the screw head at the pair of outboard receivers responsive to a subsequent torque; and wherein the outboard receivers are positioned so that they do not engage with the outboard drive responsive to the initial torque.
