METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MAINTAINING A RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SEPARATE OBJECTS
A method of maintaining first and second objects in a desired relationship. The method involves obtaining a fastener having a body with an elongate shank. The body has a head with a blocking surface. The shank is configured to engage a surrounding bore surface on or associated with at least one of the first and second objects to cause the shank to advance axially in a tightening direction while turned in one direction. The fastener body is engaged at a location spaced from the head to turn the shank in the one direction, thereby causing the shank to draw the head so as to move the blocking surface on the head towards a selected holding position relative to one of the first and second objects wherein the fastener is in a fastened state. The invention is also directed to the fastener construction.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR ADJUSTING A SPRING PRE-LOAD
A wrench and nut combination, including: a wrench lug including: a wrench lug feature that substantially mates with a nut feature of a nut of a shock absorber during a first rotation of said nut, relative to external body threads on a body of the shock absorber, in a first direction, wherein the wrench lug feature and the nut feature release during a second rotation of said nut, relative to the external body threads, in a second direction, wherein at least one of the first rotation and the second rotation causes an adjustment to a compressive coil spring pre-load of a set of coil springs disposed in the shock absorber.
HISTORICAL MARKER REPAIR COMPONENTS AND METHODS
A repair component for historical markers, and the like, comprises a metal casting including an upper channel dimensioned to receive the lower bottom portion of the original plaque, and a lower collar dimensioned to fit onto the existing post. The plaque may be fastened, welded, glued or otherwise secured within the channel of the repair component. Alternatively, the upper groove of the repair component may include a moveable member forming a jaw that clamps onto the lower edge of the existing plaque. The collar may also be fastened, welded, glued or otherwise secured to the upper end of the pole. Also disclosed is a method of repairing a marker including a plaque with a lower bottom portion that has broken away from a collar fitted to a post.
Semi-left-hand-thread-removal screw
A semi-left-hand-thread-removal screw including a screw end head and a bolt, wherein a sink hole is provided on the screw end head, a lower portion of the sink hole is an inscribed polygon structure or an I-shaped structure, a thread which is opposite to the bolt is provided on an upper portion of the sink hole, the inscribed polygon structure is an inscribed hexagon. A screw according to aspects of the disclosure may be screwed in with a common inscribed hexagon screwdriver and an inscribed hexagon structure thereof which are embedded into each other; the screw can be unscrewed with a left-hand-thread screwdriver which is matched with a left-hand-thread structure thereof and screwed in the left-hand-thread structure thereof, after the left-hand-thread screwdriver is screwed in tightly, the screwdriver is continuously co-rotated and then the screw may be unscrewed.
SECURITY FASTENER
A fastener having a head is provided. The fastener includes a unidirectional inner drive including an inner lobe having an inner ramp surface adjacent to an inner drive abutment surface adapted to receive a torque to effect a clockwise rotation of the fastener. The fastener further includes a concentric unidirectional outer drive including an outer lobe having an outer ramp surface adjacent to an outer drive abutment surface adapted to receive an inverse torque to effect a counter-clockwise rotation of the fastener.
Security fastener
A fastener having a head is provided. The fastener includes a unidirectional inner drive including an inner lobe having an inner ramp surface adjacent to an inner drive abutment surface adapted to receive a torque to effect a clockwise rotation of the fastener. The fastener further includes a concentric unidirectional outer drive including an outer lobe having an outer ramp surface adjacent to an outer drive abutment surface adapted to receive an inverse torque to effect a counter-clockwise rotation of the fastener.
Anti-theft device for bicycle lock
A bicycle lock includes a U-shaped body and a pivotal portion pivotably connected to the first end of the U-shaped body. A head is formed on the second end of the U-shaped body and includes a lock unit received therein. The lock unit includes a nut and a core unit which is co-rotated with the nut. The nut is rotated by using a key. The core unit includes a core and a restriction plate which is co-rotated with the core and includes a notch. A safety unit is received in the lock unit and includes an engaging member and a resilient member which biases the engaging member to be engaged with a notch of the restriction plate to prevent the core unit from being rotated. The engaging member includes a protrusion which contacts the outer periphery of the nut to prevent the nut from being rotated by unauthorized tools.
Security nut and security bolt
A nut and a bolt are provided, which make it difficult to be loosened once they have been tightened. A security nut includes: a nut body having an inside screw; and a plurality of torque transmission projections provided on an outer surface of the nut body along a circumferential direction. Each torque transmission projection has a torque transmission surface provided on an upstream side in a tightening direction of the security nut, and a release surface provided on a downstream side in the tightening direction of the security nut. A ridge line is formed between the release surface and the torque transmission surface, the ridge line inclining toward the upstream side of the tightening direction along the circumferential direction, from an advancing-direction end of the nut body to a retracting-direction end of the nut body.

An anti-disassembly connector, including: a connecting portion, where a threaded connecting section is disposed on the connecting portion; and bosses, where the bosses protrude from an end or a peripheral wall of the connecting portion, each of the bosses extends along a circumferential edge or the peripheral wall of the connecting portion, each of the bosses has a force-bearing surface and a force-releasing surface that are disposed opposite to each other, at least two bosses are arranged, the two bosses are disposed at intervals along the circumferential edge or the peripheral wall of the connecting portion, and a gap between two adjacent bosses forms a clamping interval. A force-bearing sideline is formed on a side of the force-bearing surface away from an inner wall of the connecting portion, a length of the force-bearing sideline is L, and 5 mm<L<20 mm.
