Insulation screw adapted to be inserted by a mounting device into insulation material, where the insulation screw comprises a body provided with at least one thread, where the tip of the body is pointed, where the outer diameter of the head is equal to or smaller than the outer diameter of the body and where the lead pitch of the thread is at least 30 millimetres. An insulation screw can be driven completely through a central opening since the insulation screw does not have a protruding head. The insulation screw is provided with a thread and the opening of a mounting device is provided with a corresponding threaded portion, such that the insulation screw is screwed into the insulation material by a non-rotating pushing force.

FASTENER STRUCTURE
20210033122 · 2021-02-04 ·

A fastener structure includes a fastener having a stem portion and at least one movement portion. The stem portion has a fastening section. The movement portion is formed on the stem portion and has a retaining section. With these arrangements, the retaining section of the movement portion can be detachably assembled to a first object and the fastening section can be then detachably assembled or fastened to a second object. In this way, at least two objects can be connected to and disconnected from one another in a quick and repeatable manner.

The invention is an expanding, anchoring screw, made of expandable polymer material. The screw shaft is hollow. After inserting screw in a material, by allowing two reagents to mix in the hollow shaft, and a polymerization chemical reaction to occur, the reagents increase in volume exerting pressure against the inner surface of the hollow shaft, expanding the shaft, and applying greater anchoring force against material in which the screw is inserted.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FIBER-REINFORCED RESIN BOLT AND FIBER-REINFORCED RESIN BOLT
20210025428 · 2021-01-28 ·

Provided is a fiber-reinforced resin bolt having a strength higher than that of a conventional fiber-reinforced resin bolt. A fiber-reinforced resin bolt 1 formed by a winding step of winding a CFRP resin tape 14, which is formed in a band shape by integrating CFRP 12 with a thermosetting resin in such a manner that the CFRP 12 is oriented in a longitudinal direction, so that the CFRP 12 is arranged concentrically around a winding axis, thereby forming a CFRP resin tape layer 10; and a curing step of placing the CFRP resin tape layer 10 formed by the winding step in a die 40 whose inner wall surface is formed with a screw shape, pressurizing the die 40 in which the CFRP resin tape layer 10 is placed from one direction of the winding axis to the other, and heating the die 40 with a heater 82, thereby curing the resin containing the CFRP resin tape layer 10.

Tolerance Equalizing Device

The invention relates to an apparatus for compensating tolerances between two components to be connected to one another, comprising a threaded element fastenable to a first component; a threaded bolt that has a first threaded section, which is in a first threaded engagement with the threaded element, a bolt collar and a second threaded section; and a threaded nut which can be brought into a second threaded engagement with the second threaded section, wherein the first threaded engagement and the second threaded engagement are formed in opposite senses; and wherein a friction locking or a form fit between the threaded bolt and the threaded nut can be produced by the threaded nut such that the threaded bolt is movable relative to the threaded element when the threaded nut is screwed onto the second threaded section.

OPTIMIZED THREAD PROFILE FOR JOINING COMPOSITE MATERIALS
20210018033 · 2021-01-21 · ·

An optimized thread profile (140) for joining composite materials is presented. This thread profile (140) maintains a certain material strength when used as part of a composite threaded joint (101). The thread profile (140) comprises a repeating pattern of four components: a crest region (150), a first flank (162), a root region (170) and a second flank (164). The thread profile (140) is symmetrical, that is, the dimensions of the four components do not change throughout the length of the thread profile. The crest (152) has a flat profile and the root (172) has a rounded profile. When a shaft (120) is affixed to a joining shaft (110) using this optimized thread profile (140), the flat profiles of the crest (152) of the shaft (120) and corresponding rounded profiles of the root (172) of the joining shaft (110) create a gap to accommodate a substance such as an adhesive or a lubricant. Similarly, the flat profiles of the crest (152) of the joining shaft (110) and corresponding rounded profiles of the root (172) of the shaft (120) create a gap to accommodate a substance.

UAV with frangible airframe structures

A mechanical joiner for an airframe includes a joiner core and first and second caps. The joiner core has a first side with a first cradle shaped to hold a first structural member and a second side with a second cradle shaped to hold a second structural member. The first cap is shaped to mate to the first side and clamp the first structural member into the first cradle. The joiner core includes a first hole for a first mechanical fastener to extend through and across the first cradle and secure the first cap to the joiner core. The second cap is shaped to mate to the second side and clamp the first structural member into the second cradle. The second cap includes second holes for second mechanical fasteners, distinct from the first mechanical fastener, to secure the second cap to the joiner core.

METHOD OF MOUNTING FIXING ASSEMBLY TO WORKPIECE
20210010498 · 2021-01-14 ·

A method of mounting a fixing assembly to a workpiece is introduced. The fixing assembly includes a fastener structure, which consists of an engaging member and a mating member connected together, and a fastening member, which includes sequentially connected head portion, assembling section and fastening section, while the assembling section is assembled to the engaging member of the fastener structure. In the method of mounting the fixing assembly to a workpiece, the engaging member of the fastener structure is first connected to the mating member, the assembling section of the fastening member is then forced through an insertion-hole section of the engaging member to be assembled thereto, and finally, a first inner retaining section of the mating member is movably connected to an outer retaining section of a locating member, which is connected to the workpiece.
