Sheet metal screw
A sheet metal screw includes one or more of a tapered self-drilling tip, an asymmetric thread angle and/or a trilobular thread edge profile.
Adjustment mechanism for grading systems
The present invention relates to an apparatus for grading sensitive products. The apparatus treat the objects to be graded gently and is accurate and may be constructed so as to handle extremely large quantities. The grading device of the present invention has grading channels that are wider at the outlet than at the intake. The belt machine draws the objects forward between two inclined belts which form the channel. An adjusting device is implemented perpendicular underneath the belts of the apparatus comprising alternatively arranged support members and adjusting members arranged on an adjusting screwing shaft. Both components comprise screwing sections which regulates an increase or a decrease in the gap between the support members when the adjusting screwing shaft is rotated.
FASTENING SYSTEM FOR AN ELECTRICAL TRANSMISSION LINE REPAIR DEVICE
A fastening system has a conditioner clamp and a penetrating fastener. The conditioner clamp has an upper assembly and a lower assembly attachable together to define a conductor cavity therebetween. At least one threaded opening provides ingress into the conductor cavity. The penetrating fastener is extendable through the at least one threaded opening. The penetrating fastener has a threaded bolt and a penetrating portion with a proximal end at a second end region of the threaded bolt and a distal end spaced therefrom. The penetrating portion has a frustoconical configuration terminating at a tip portion. The tip portion is configured to penetrate into a conductor positioned within the conductor cavity.

Bolt
The objective is to provide a bolt which can more effectively suppress occurrence of seizure due to both oblique insertion and biting of foreign substances. The bolt includes a tapered surface, a guide portion, and a threaded portion in order from a distal end side and further includes a plurality of recesses provided on the tapered surface and a plurality of cutout portions provided at a distal end portion of the threaded portion.
LAMP SCREW CAP
The invention provides a lamp screw cap (200) comprising a thread structure (220), wherein the thread structure (220) comprises repetitive elements (225) defining tops (230), valleys (240), and a central plane (250), wherein tops (230) protrude relative to the central plane (250) and wherein the valleys (240) are recessed relative to the central plane (250), wherein: for a plurality of tops (230) applies that each top (230) comprises a first top segment (231), a second top segment (232), and a middle top segment (233), together defining the top (230), wherein the middle top segment (233) is configured most remote from the central plane (250); for a plurality of valleys (240) applies that each valley (240) comprises a first valley segment (241), a second valley segment (242), and a middle valley segment (243), together defining the valley (240), wherein the middle valley segment (243) is configured most remote from the central plane (250); the first top segment (231), the second top segment (232), the first valley segment (241), and the second valley segment (242), have the same first curvature; one or more of the following applies: the plurality of tops (230) have a protruding part (235) protruding relative to the first curvature in a direction away from the central plane (250); and the plurality of valleys (240) have a shallow part (245) receding relative to the first curvature in a direction to the central plane (250).

DIOPTER ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM
A diopter adjustment mechanism comprises a scope tube with a first female thread and a second female thread. The first female thread has a first pitch and is disposed on the scope tube forming a spiral thread and lands between the spiral threads. The second female thread has a second pitch and is disposed on the lands of the first female thread. A jam nut has a male thread corresponding to and engaging the second female thread. The pitch of the first female thread is greater than the pitch of the second female thread.

Mechanical connector utilizing shear pins to transfer torque
This invention builds up on technical features and on the industry experience with the use of Merlin™ family connectors. In addition to friction, structural means utilized to transfer high torsional loads include shear pins and may also include: interlocked thread systems, dog-clutch teeth, keys and splines, all used in isolation or in arbitrary combinations. Static and fatigue bending load capacities of the connectors remain high, while the axial load capacities may or may not be high, depending on the design requirements. Connectors according to this invention can be built as new, carefully optimized designs. In some cases upgrading existing Merlin™ family connector designs to increase they torque transfer capacities may be also feasible.
