Z layer engineered threaded connectors and systems
A threaded connector system including a male threaded connector and a female part, where at least one of the outer surface of the male threaded connector and the inner surface of the female part includes at least one Z layer structure, including a Z seat, Z ridge, Z rib, Z tooth, Z snap lock, Z stack and Z channel.
Enhancements of mechanical connector technology
A Merlin™ family mechanical connector provided with a thread on substantially matching frustoconical surfaces extending between two sets of nipple seals utilize assembly/disassembly fluids that solidify after the assembly and are brought to liquid state before the disassembly. They include resins or tar-like non-metals and liquid metals solidifying in single phases as well as in multiple phases like for example binary, ternary etc. eutectics. That improves already very good leak resistance of Merlin™ family connectors and benefits good heat transfer between pins and boxes. Thread angle mismatching between box and pin threads can be introduced in order to improve loading. The above modifications can be introduced to traditional connectors featuring torsional load capacities limited to frictional resistance and to connectors designed to transfer high torsional loads.
FASTENING SYSTEM FOR AN ELECTRICAL TRANSMISSION LINE REPAIR DEVICE
A fastening system has a conditioner clamp and a penetrating fastener. The conditioner clamp has an upper assembly and a lower assembly attachable together to define a conductor cavity therebetween. At least one threaded opening provides ingress into the conductor cavity. The penetrating fastener is extendable through the at least one threaded opening. The penetrating fastener has a threaded bolt and a penetrating portion with a proximal end at a second end region of the threaded bolt and a distal end spaced therefrom. The penetrating portion has a frustoconical configuration terminating at a tip portion. The tip portion is configured to penetrate into a conductor positioned within the conductor cavity.

Multi-material boss and method of making the same
A multi-material boss, configured for fastening of a fastener thereto, being a feature of a die cast part, comprising a boss cylinder, an augmenting cylinder, and a filler metal layer is provided. The boss cylinder is made of the same material as the die cast part having a first hardness, and has a first interior. The augmenting cylinder is made of an augmenting material having a second hardness, is fixedly secured in the first interior of the boss cylinder, and has a second interior defined by a second cylindrical shaped wall, a base rim, and a second opening. The second hardness is greater than the first hardness. The fastener is fastened to the multi-material boss via the second opening of the augmenting cylinder having the higher liquidus temperature and greater hardness.

Power Tool Attachment Device
A power tool attachment device for securing an accessory to a power tool is disclosed. The power tool attachment device includes a first threaded portion and a second threaded portion. The second threaded portion has a shape and size different from the first threaded portion. The first threaded portion inserts in a hole of a power tool while the second threaded portion remains outside of the hole. The second threaded portion is shaped and sized to be able to attach accessories of the power tool. The second threaded portion receives and secures an accessory to the power tool, via an accessory hole that conforms to the shape and size of the second threaded portion. The power tool attachment device allows to attach the accessory such as a nut to the power tool such as a grinder, for example so that the accessory does not get lost.

Key Thread and Key Thread Systems
Key threaded articles and systems that include key threads having a female lock and male key on a two-dimensional plane and in which the female lock envelops the male key when fully engaged and has a shape that creates lateral resistance to separation from the male key when the female lock fully engages the male key.
