Threaded fastener having a thread crest greater than its thread root and v angles on the crest and root
An interlocking thread with a tooth-cross-section that is wider at its crest than at its root and with “V” angles located both along the crest and the root which tightens into a tapped hole that has a similar thread cross-section.
Aircraft assembly
An aircraft assembly having a titanium rod comprising a first threaded portion, and a titanium nut comprising a second threaded portion conforming with the first threaded portion for mating engagement with it. One of the first and second threaded portions defines a male thread and the other one of the first and second threaded portions defines a female thread such that the nut can be wound in threading engagement along the rod. A threaded insert formed from a first metal of different hardness in comparison to titanium is coupled to the rod or the nut to define the first threaded portion or the second threaded portion respectively such that one of the first and second threaded portions is formed from titanium and the other one of the first and second threaded portions is formed from the first metal.

Nut and tool
A nut, including a first female thread for threading a bolt thereinto, a head surrounding the first female thread, for holding the first female thread, for allowing rotating the bolt in relation to the first female thread; and a first male thread, for threading the nut through a plate.

Screw For Cutting A Thread
The invention relates to a screw for cutting a thread into a component, having a shank which at least in portions is provided with a thread, a screw head having a drive configuration, the latter being adjoined by the shank, wherein, proceeding from an end of the shank that is opposite the head, first a cutting portion and then a holding portion are disposed, wherein the cutting portion and the holding portion are provided with a thread, wherein the holding portion has a larger external diameter in relation to the cutting portion, characterized in that a truncated-cone-type intermediate portion that is provided with a thread is disposed between the holding portion and the cutting portion, and in that the cutting portion has a truncated-cone-type attachment portion.
MULTIPLE TAPERED THREADED CONNECTION
A threaded connection between adjacent drill string components comprises a threaded female connection end adapted to receive a correspondingly threaded male connection end, the two ends each having first and second portions of different tapers. Tubular members, drill string tools and other drill string components comprising the female or male ends described herein are also provided.
EXTERNAL THREAD MEMBER
An external thread member capable of preventing oblique entry or insertion by a short screw tip shape is provided including, in its shank portion (20), a normal thread area (22), a guide thread area (24) provided at a tip side of the shank portion with respect to the normal thread area (22) and in which a guide screw thread (23) is formed, and a rising area (26) in which a transition screw thread (25) gradually rising from the guide screw thread (23) to the complete screw thread (21) is formed. A tapered guide portion (30) is provided at a tip end side of the normal thread area (22) and includes at least the guide thread area (24). The guide screw thread (23) is formed on an outer periphery of the tapered guide portion (30) which has a maximum diameter equal to or smaller than an inner diameter of an internal thread.

Cover for high voltage electrical connector
A locking mechanism particularly adapted to lock a cover of an electrical connector which connects an electrical transmission conductor to a distribution conductor. The locking mechanism includes a tip portion, a spiral portion, a holding portion, and an engagement portion, where the tip portion has a smaller cross-sectional area than the spiral portion and where the engagement portion is a widest portion of the locking mechanism. The present invention is also directed to a method of using the locking mechanism to lock the cover, as well as to a cover system which includes the locking mechanism and the cover engaged such that the cover is locked.
