A fastener assembly may be configured to mount structures in a gas turbine engine. The fastener assembly may comprise a fastener and a leak resistant insert. The leak resistant insert may be configured to at least partially reduce fluid leakage between the coupling of the fastener and the leak resistant insert. The leak resistant insert may comprise an outer surface opposite an inner threaded surface. The inner threaded surface may define an insert opening through leak resistant fastener insert, configured to receive the fastener. The outer surface may define an insert end enclosing the inner threaded surface opposite the insert opening.

Press-in nut and method for producing a press-in nut and press-in connection

A press-in nut is formed as a cap nut and has a nut body with a through hole, which is closed by a cap under formation of a blind hole. This is provided to obtain a media-tight connection with the nut body. The nut body has a ring collar at the top. In a pre-assembled state, the ring collar is only at least partially bent over, so that the cap is only held captively, without a media-tight connection being formed. The desired media-tight connection is only formed when press-fitting into a component.

COUPLING FOR A GRINDING MILL LINER

Disclosed is a mill liner assembly for a grinding mill. The mill liner assembly including a mill liner and a head nut for the mill liner. The liner comprises a wear surface and an opposite inner surface. The head nut forming part of a coupling for use in removably mounting the mill liner to an interior surface of the grinding mill. The mill liner assembly further comprises at least one passage having an interior wall extending through in the liner for receiving the head nut. The head nut includes a leading end and a trailing end being spaced apart along an axis. The head nut also comprises a body having an interior bore extending along the axis operative to receive a shank, the shank forming part of the coupling, and an engaging portion connected to or integrally formed with the body to engage the interior wall of the passage to retain the head nut in the at least one passage in the mill liner. Also disclosed is a method of installation of a head nut in a mill liner.

A plug insert comprising a shank configured to be removably received in a fastener hole in a panel in a position where an outer end of the plug insert is disposed adjacent an outer surface of the panel. A longitudinal cavity is disposed within the shank and a barrier is disposed on the plug insert to protect against damage and/or contamination.

Two-piece connector devices, connector assemblies and methods of use

A connector assembly includes a connector device and a base part provided with a mounting face that defines a throughhole having a forming wall structure for receiving a bolt and for receiving and retaining the connector device. The connector device has a rear portion and a front portion engaged together for movement relative to one another, the rear portion defining a threaded bolt hole for engaging the bolt extending through the throughhole and having a driven element positioned thereon. The front portion defines an access opening for receiving the bolt. Engagement of the driven element moves the rear portion relative to the front portion such that the bolt hole is aligned with the access opening and receives a threaded end of the bolt.

Threaded fastener pair, post anchor system and method of securing a post to a post anchor

A threaded fastener pair, including: a first threaded fastener with a male threaded portion; and a second threaded fastener with a female threaded portion, the female portion being configured to receive the male threaded portion, wherein the first threaded fastener is formed with a shank having an outer diameter approximately equal to an outer diameter of the second threaded portion, the second threaded fastener has a length equal to or greater than that of the first threaded fastener and the length of the first threaded fastener is at least 45 mm.

CULTIVATOR WHICH IS SCREWED ON THE REAR FACE

The invention relates to a cultivator for an agricultural soil processing machine, which includes a base part which has a cutting element on a cutter support. The base part has at least one screw receiving area for securing to a support, in particular a tine of the agricultural soil processing machine. The screw receiving area is designed as a blind hole with an inner thread and is recessed into a cultivator support surface aligned opposite the tool advancing direction of the cultivator, or the screw receiving area is designed as a through-bore with an inner thread and is covered by at least one wear protection element in the tool advancing direction. The cultivator is characterized by reduced wear.

A component with a support, for which a flat region is defined. The support has a support cover which at least partly has the shape of a cone, a funnel, or a tent and which is raised out of the flat region. One end of the at least partly cone-, funnel-, or tent-shaped support cover, said end facing away from the flat region of the support, is equipped with a recess for mounting a securing element to be secured to the component.

Fastener for Thin-Sheet Materials
20180058486 · 2018-03-01 ·

A cylindrical, internally-threaded part such as a nut or standoff that can be clinched into very-thin, sheet-metal panel even if the receiving hole is blind. The part has no integrally-formed displacer. The part is installed in an annular, blind hole by cold deforming and pushing material of the panel with a special installation tool into one or more recesses of the part. The tool has an annular cavity for receiving the fastener, an annular displacer surrounding the outer diameter of the annular cavity, and a center punch surrounded by the inner diameter of the cavity. One recess of the part may comprise an undercut in the outer periphery while another recess may comprise the groove of the internal threads. With a single stroke of the tool, panel material is simultaneously pushed into the undercut by the displacer and into the threads by the center punch to attach the part to the panel by clinching.
