A clip for a nut clip having a main body comprising an aft reaction boss defining at least a portion of a nut containment channel. The clip further includes a nut retention flange defining at least a further portion of the nut containment channel and connected to the main body by a nut retention flange attachment member spaced apart from the aft reaction boss. A forward reaction wall includes at least a portion of the nut retention flange attachment member facing the nut containment channel, wherein the aft reaction boss comprises an aft reaction wall. The aft reaction wall and the forward reaction wall are configured to be selectably contacted by a nut within the nut containment channel to occlude rotation of the nut.

Easily removeable push-on spring nut

A fastener is installed by applying an axial pressing force onto a mating component such as a round pin or a square tab. The fastener includes spring arms formed by bent tabs which deflect when pressed onto and grip the pin or other mating component between jaws of the arms making the fastener resistant to being pulled off. Downward facing fingers located around the periphery of the fastener flex when they come into contact with another portion of the mating component. This creates a residual clamp load between the fastener and the component. The fastener can easily be removed using a tool similar to snap ring pliers or needle nose pliers. Two holes on opposite sides of the fastener allow the part to be squeezed and deformed into an oval shape. This action disengages the arms and allows the fastener to slide off the mating component without resistance.

One-piece stud and clip

A one-piece stud and clip is provided by a process working sheet material into a monolithic stud and U-clip fastener. The process includes forming an elongated stud from the sheet material, and bending the sheet material to form the clip. The stud can be a rolled cylinder of the sheet material, or an uninterrupted stud drawn from the sheet material.

INTERNALLY THREADED FASTENER HAVING A PREVAILING TORQUE FEATURE

A threaded fastener having a prevailing torque feature and a method for forming same includes a barrel having a longitudinal axis. The barrel has a plurality of internal threads, each internal thread including a forward facing surface and a rearward facing surface. A first angle between the forward facing surface and a first lateral axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis ranges from 20° to 40°. A second angle between the forward facing surface and the rearward facing surface ranges from 80° to 100°.
