A foreign material exclusion plug is disclosed. The foreign material plug includes a cylindrical body, a slot, and a breakaway tab. The cylindrical body includes an externally-threaded cylindrical structure. The slot is formed in the cylindrical body extending into the cylindrical body from a top surface of the cylindrical body. The breakaway tab is connected to the cylindrical body and extends outwards from the top surface.

Blind rivet-nut and method for securing a component to a carrier
11428260 · 2022-08-30 · ·

A blind rivet-nut having an annular-flange-like setting head and a hollow shaft for securing a blind rivet-nut in an opening of a carrier. The hollow shaft has a free end having a threaded portion for receiving a threaded element of a tensioning tool. A clamping portion adjacent to the setting head forms a bead-like deformation when the tensioning tool is used to clamp the carrier between the bead-like deformation and the setting head. A threadless shaft portion is formed between the clamping portion and the threaded portion. The threadless shaft portion is threaded by a thread self-rolling or thread self-tapping fastener. The fastener is received in a positive-locking manner when the fastener is screwed into the thread formed on the previously threadless shaft portion. A method is also disclosed for securing a component to a carrier by a blind rivet-nut.

NUT INSERT WITH REDUCED STRESS
20170234354 · 2017-08-17 ·

A nut insert body includes an outer periphery and an aperture formed with threads. The threads are centered on a thread axis. The outer periphery of the nut insert body is curved about a curve axis defined about an axis having at least a component extending in a perpendicular direction from the thread axis. A component receiving a nut insert is also disclosed.

Carrier For Mounting Of Panel Inserts

Provided herein are various enhancements for panel inserts which can provide for mounting of threaded fasteners or other mounting members into various panels. In one example, a panel insert carrier comprises a barrel having flanged ends. The barrel comprising an axial bore therein having a threaded surface configured to removably accept a threaded insert. At least one of the flanged ends comprises an aperture for injection of potting around an exterior of the barrel when inserted into a bore hole of a panel.

EXTRACTION SLEEVE

An extraction sleeve for extracting two rotationally symmetrical parts that are joined together by interference fit, the extraction sleeve including: a head having a conical part; a cylindrical body, the internal part of the cylindrical body having a screw thread suitable for the screwing of an extraction screw; the conical part of the head of the extraction sleeve forming a friction component suitable for coming into contact with one of the rotationally symmetrical parts, the friction component being designed so as to determine a limit slipping torque greater than the friction torque generated at the screw thread of the sleeve by screwing of the extraction screw.

ANTI-LOOSENING BOLT

The present invention relates to an anti-loosening bolt coupled to a bolt and a spring and, more specifically, to an anti-loosening bolt which can: prevent the bolt from being unintentionally loosened by a rotating object or by continuous long-time or momentary vibration; be fixed on a wall; be combined with a nut; prevent a periodic shaking phenomenon; and be reused.

Wire thread insert with redressable mounting tang as well as its manufacturing and installation

A wire thread insert comprises besides a cylindrical helix consisting of a plurality of coils a moving tang projecting into the interior of the helix for installing the wire thread insert into a receiving thread. The wire thread insert is connected to the cylindrical helix via a bending portion such that the moving tang can be redressed into the receiving thread after installation of the wire thread insert. The wire thread insert is installed by means of an installation tool with a mounting spindle, which installs the wire thread insert in the receiving thread via a moving shoulder and the moving tang. A compression blade provided at the mounting spindle bends the moving tang back into the receiving thread while the mounting spindle is removed from the installed wire thread insert.

FASTENER DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ATTACHING POLYESTER FIBER PANELS TO A SUBSTRATE
20220268303 · 2022-08-25 ·

A method and fastening device for attaching polyester fiber panels to a substrate, such as a wall or a ceiling. The fastening device comprises an anchor part for attachment to the substrate and a fastening part for attachment to the panel. The fastening part comprises a cylindrical portion, a helical member surrounding the cylindrical portion for penetrating the panel upon rotation of the helical member and a recess in the cylindrical portion for receiving the anchor part. The thread angle of the leading edge of the helical member is greater than the thread angle of the trailing edge.

Drive Element for Transmitting a Torque to a Threaded Insert Sleeve
20170266794 · 2017-09-21 ·

A drive element is described for transmitting a torque to a threaded insert sleeve. A holder has a drive profile in which along a longitudinal axis of the drive element a drive tool for transmitting a torque from the drive tool to the drive element can be received. The longitudinal axis passes through the center of the drive profile and corresponds to a rotation axis of the drive element about which the drive element rotates when transmitting the torque from the drive tool to the drive element. An axial connecting section has an outer surface for forming a connection to the threaded insert sleeve that is one or more of a materially bonded, form-fitting and force-fitting connection. Via the outer surface, when a connection to a threaded insert sleeve is formed, a torque can be transmitted from the drive element to the threaded insert sleeve.
