ANTI-ROTATION SYSTEMS FOR PUMP ACCESS COVER RETAINERS
An anti-rotation system includes a plurality of key components, each sized and shaped to fit within and form a rotationally keyed relationship with a corresponding internal drive recess of a threaded retainer covering an access port in a fluid end of a pump; and a single locking bar that spans between and couples to each of the plurality of key components after the key components are fit within the corresponding internal drive recesses.
A method includes fitting each of a plurality of key components into a corresponding internal drive recess of a plurality of threaded retainers covering access ports in a fluid end of a pump, coupling a single locking bar to each of the plurality of key components to form an anti-rotation system; and inhibiting rotation of the plurality of threaded retainers during operation of the pump using the anti-rotation system.
Charge forming device with tamper resistant adjustable valve
In at least some implementations, a locking plate may be received between the cover plate and the adjustable valve and be movable to a first position permitting access to the adjustable valve and a second position inhibiting or preventing access to the adjustable valve. In some implementations, a latch assembly may releasably retain the locking plate in its second position. The latch assembly may include a finger carried by the locking plate and releasably engageable with a stop when the locking plate is in its second position.
Charge forming device with tamper resistant adjustable valve
A carburetor with a body with a cavity in which an adjustable fuel valve is received. To inhibit access to and manual adjustment of the valve, a cover may overlay at least a portion of the adjustable valve. In some forms, a releasable lock plate may be received between the cover and the adjustable valve. Specialty tools may release the lock plate and adjust the valve.
Apparatus and system for locking a battery to a transportation device
Described herein are systems and apparatuses for securing and locking a battery or battery enclosure to a vehicle. In general, a vehicle may include a planar body mounted to any number of wheels, tracks, wings or flotation devices. In a preferred embodiment, the security device comprises a security plate and a locking pin system is used to secure the battery to any vehicle. The security plate is positioned between the fastener heads and the battery enclosure and has an opening for the locking pin to slide through. Once the pin is inserted into security plate the pin lock secures the pin in place and prevents removal of the battery or battery enclosure from the vehicle.
Axle suspension system having a shear bolt
A shear bolt and an axle suspension system having a shear bolt. The shear bolt may have a shear head and an enlarged head. The shear head may be configured to detach from the shear bolt. The enlarged head may have first and second protrusions that may be grasped by a tool in a manner that prevents tightening of the shear bolt.
SLEEVED LUG NUT APPARATUS AND INSTALLATION TOOL
The present invention provides an improved lug nut protection system that includes a keyed lug nut and a specialty tool for installation and removal. According to a preferred embodiment, the present invention includes a protective sleeve which slides over the wheel end of a given lug nut, and which is held in place by a retaining ring or the like. According to a further preferred embodiment, the protective sleeve preferably freely rotates and prevents common tools (i.e., pipe wrenches) from removing the lug nut thus preventing theft of the wheel/tire. According to a further preferred embodiment, the lug nut of the present invention is preferably recessed within the protective sleeve and preferably includes a keyed head which requires a specialty tool to remove the lug nut. Preferably, the specialty tool of the present invention fits inside the sleeve and over the top of the custom lug nut design.
TAMPER DETECTION USING SMART SECURITY FASTENERS
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, are described for implementing a smart security fastener. The smart security fastener includes a body configured to be installed at a property; and a head that is supported by the body. The head has circuitry that includes: a micro-processor that generates control signals; and a radio device that is coupled to the micro-processor. The radio device is operable to: i) transmit data to a property monitoring system based on the control signals, where the data indicates an installation status of the smart security fastener; and ii) receive a command from the property monitoring system that indicates authorization to uninstall the smart security fastener. The circuitry also includes a power source that powers each of the micro-processor and the radio device.
Engaged member, engaging member, detection device, detection method, and detection program
To reduce the likelihood of erroneous detection resulting from improper engagement of an engaging part with an engaged part, a fixing member is made to have a recess formed therein and is provided with a plurality of conduction paths that are electrically insulated from each other and have portions that are exposed at a plurality of positions including a first position inside the recess and in the vicinity of the innermost part of the recess and a second position inside the recess and not in the vicinity of the innermost part of the recess and other portions that are exposed outside of the recess, and a prescribed member touching the first position and second position can push the area around the opening of the recess.
Anti-theft locking bolt assembly
An anti-theft locking bolt assembly is disclosed. The assembly comprises an anti-theft bolt threadedly attachable to an article to be protected, a bolt cap snugly fitting into a bore on the head of the anti-theft bolt, a lock cylinder housing rotatably connected to the head of the anti-theft bolt via one or more ball bearings, the lock cylinder housing configured to cover the bolt cap and a locking cylinder and to provide means to prevent removal of the bolt cap. The anti-theft locking bolt assembly is suitable to lock a vehicle wheel and also to replace a spark plug of an combust engine to prevent unauthorized use of the vehicle.
