Press on retaining washer for fasteners

A thin film-retaining washer with custom geometry that may further provide for a simple press-on installation while maintaining retention of fasteners during assembly, shipping, handling, and/or use of associated systems. The present retaining hardware is easily manufactured from sheet or film materials with minimal post-processing and may be scaled and optimized for use with multiple size and style of fasteners. Further, the thickness profile of the thin film retaining hardware facilitates lobe spring deflection to further provide secure retention of the associated fasteners.

Hood lifting assembly

A hood lifting assembly according to various implementations includes a re-latching feature that allows two slidably coupled plates to be reset, or locked, relative to each other by moving a head of a pin into a keyhole opening of a keyhole slot defined in one of the plates. In an initial position, the head of the pin is spaced apart from the keyhole opening, allowing the pin to move along the keyhole slot from the initial position to a deployed position and then to a reset position. In other implementations, a hood lifting assembly includes an energy absorbing feature. One exemplary energy absorbing feature includes a plate defining an elongated slot that has a narrowed width portion through which a pin travels during movement from the initial position to the deployed position.

Battery module and battery pack comprising same

The present disclosure relates to a battery module, which includes: a housing including a first housing and a second housing, which are coupled to each other to form a accommodation space; a plurality of secondary batteries accommodated in the accommodation space; a bolt including a screw portion, which has screw threads formed on at least a portion of an outer circumferential surface thereof, and a bolt head arranged at an end of the screw portion, the bolt being configured to fasten the first housing and the second housing to each other by being mounted such that the screw portion penetrates the first housing to be screw-coupled to the second housing, and that the bolt head is caught by the first housing; and an O-ring mounted to be interposed between the first housing and the bolt head, wherein the O-ring includes: a hollow pierced such that the screw portion is inserted therein; and a recognition protrusion formed to protrude in a radial direction of the bolt head as compared with the bolt head.

Retention washers, propeller retention systems, and related methods

Retention washers include a washer body having a first side and a second side opposite the first side. The washer body has a perimeter having one or more lobes, and the retention washer further includes a multi-point star-shaped hole extending through the washer body from the first side to the second side. The retention washer is configured to maintain an installation torque of an installed nut when the retention washer is positioned such that the hole circumscribes the nut. Systems for retaining a propeller assembly on a shaft may include a nut installed on a bolt, and a retention washer positioned such that the hole of the retention washer circumscribes the nut, thereby limiting rotation of the nut with respect to the bolt and retaining the nut on the bolt. The system may include a circular array of nuts and bolts, each nut having a respective retention washer positioned thereon.

A section of a folding spacer apparatus for ensuring precise spatial increments when stacking segments of the spacer apparatus having at least two identical segments of equal thickness equal to an incremental measurement frequently utilized in the construction industry joined by a thin and pliable length of material enabling the bottom surface of a first segment to be flush with the top surface of a second segment when the segments are stacked. The segments are made without corners. In addition, the segments feature a system whereby the two segments may be snapped to one another when stacked. Specifically, first segment features at least one protrusion extending perpendicularly from its top surface, and the second segment should feature at least one complimentary cavity in its top surface, the dimensions and volume of the cavity being such that the protrusion of the first segment is snugly fit within the cavity.

FASTENING ELEMENT

Retention system and method for a wing

A retention system includes a base supporting a wing spar and a post extending through the base from a first side of the base to a second side of the base. The post inserts through an aperture in the spar. A stop is selectively securable to the post over the second side of the base. A locking member engages the post on the first side of the base. The locking member is configured to selectively move the post from an unlocked position to a locked position in which the post is withdrawn toward the first side relative to the unlocked position. A biasing member encircles the post and is positioned between the stop and the second side. When the locking member is in a closed position the biasing member expands to engage the aperture and resist movement of the wing spar. A plurality of cradles may support the wing.
