Clamping and mounting accessories for motion picture lighting equipment
A support pin is engaged with a collar, as affixed to a mount, by an engaging mechanism between the support pin and the collar, which engaging mechanism provides interchangeability, index-ability and positive locking between the support pin and the collar. Motion picture lighting and rigging equipment is secured to the support pin. The engaging mechanism includes a V-shaped or other configured reception on or in the collar with a cross-pin or similarly other configured portion on the support pin (e.g., non-circular cross-sectional configurations such as a hexagon). A linchpin is placed though mating openings in the collar and support pin to lock the two together when the mating openings are aligned. Two or more crossing V-shaped receptions or non-circular cross-sectional configurations provide a variety of angular orientations of the support pin, especially for bent support pins, with respect to the collar.
Linear Latching Systems and Methods
A latching assembly includes a linear component and a base component. The linear component is configured to be coupled to a first element and includes at least one retention projection. The base component is configured to be coupled to a second element and includes a channel and at least one retention feature. The linear component is configured to be slidably received within the channel of the base component and the at least one retention feature of the base component is configured to engage the at least one retention projection of the linear component to retain the linear component within the channel of the base component.
Locking connector assembly
A locking connector assembly is configured to securely connect a first component to a second component. The locking connector assembly may include a female connector having first and second female ends and a longitudinal passage defined therebetween, and a male connector having first and second male ends. Either of the first or second male ends may be configured to mate with the female connector at either the first or second female ends in order to securely connect the male connector to the female connector.
FASTENING DEVICE
A fastening device including a back plate, a rear cover and an elastic piece is provided. The rear cover is arranged on the back plate and has a protruding portion. The elastic piece is arranged between the back plate and the rear cover. The elastic piece has a first opening, and the protruding portion passes through the first opening, and the first opening is a tooth-shaped structure.
Reaction device for reducing stress on torque generating tools
A reaction arm for use with a torque generating device, the reaction arm including a reaction bar, and a body portion having a first internal diameter, and having formed on an internal surface thereof a female spline having a second internal diameter and a guide bushing having a third internal diameter, the first, second, and third internal diameter being distinctly sized.
Modular rail system
A rail system includes a first rail unit with a hook portion forming a recessed cavity with an opening. A resilient strip or cord is located within the recessed cavity and is at least partially exposed through the opening. A cam portion positioned apart from the hook portion has a detent and a recessed portion. A second rail unit, releasably fastenable to the first rail unit, has a first flange section insertable into the hook portion of the first rail unit to compress the strip or cord and a second flange section snappable into the recessed portion of the cam portion of the first rail unit. The first flange extends through the opening of the recessed cavity and an end surface of the first flange engages the strip or cord when the second rail unit is fastened to the first rail unit.
System for releasably attaching a disposable device to a durable device
A system for releasably attaching a steerable disposable multi-linked device to a durable device may include a disposable portion and a durable portion. The disposable portion may include a connecting member connected to the disposable portion and the durable portion and a steerable multi-linked device. The steerable multi-linked device may include a first link, a plurality of intermediate links, a second link movably coupled to a second one of the intermediate links, and a cable which passes through the first link and intermediate links and extends beyond a first end of the first link. A first one of the intermediate links may be movably coupled to the first link. The durable portion may include an axial member which defines an opening therethrough and a feeder mechanism.
READY TO ASSEMBLE RECLINER
A RTA recliner where the recliner mechanism is attached to various component parts through tool-less connections. In a disassembled configuration, the RTA recliner mechanism and component parts are constructed and arranged to fit within a substantially rectangular container with greater volume utilization. Components include, but are not limited to, a drive tube assembly and a handle assembly.
Preloaded mooring connector
The present invention relates to a subsea structural connector (20) used in the offshore oil and gas industry for remotely joining elements of production and drilling vessel mooring systems and other subsea equipment. This invention relates to a connection mechanism that facilitates automatic latching of two components (1, 2) upon engagement, and then remotely controlled actuation of a device that secures the connection. Specifically, this invention relates to a securing mechanism that creates residual stress between the connected components (1, 2) such that the connector (20) can withstand high variable axial, shear, torsional and bending loads while minimizing the propensity for fatigue damage within the mechanism.
Modular structural component
A modular component including an elongate hollow body having first and second attaching elements for attaching the modular component to another modular component. The first attaching element is in the form of cylindrical shaped spigot extending along an external surface of a first side wall of the body. The second attaching element is in the form of socket extending along an external surface of a second side wall of the body directly opposite the spigot. The socket has an internal shape that is sized and of a complementary shape of the spigot for receiving a spigot of another modular component. The socket is connected to the spigot by one or more bracing members that extend in a direction from the first side towards the second side between the spigot and the socket.
