HVAC unit centering systems and methods
The present disclosure relates to a centering system for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) unit to be mounted to a curb. The centering system includes a centering wedge configured to couple to a base rail of the HVAC unit, the base rail having a lateral surface and a base surface along a length of the HVAC unit. The centering wedge includes an angled surface configured to extend between the lateral surface of the base rail and the base surface of the base rail. The angled surface is configured to contact the curb during installation of the HVAC unit to guide the HVAC unit toward a centered position on the curb.
COMBINED ANCHOR AND FASTENER ASSEMBLY
A combined anchor and fastener assembly for anchoring an object to a support structure includes an anchor baseplate having a top surface and a bottom surface, an elongated post having an upper end and lower end, with the upper end thereof coupled to the baseplate so it depends from the bottom surface thereof. An at least partially threaded blind bore extends from the top surface of the baseplate into the post, and has an open top end in the top surface of the baseplate and a closed bottom end in the post. The bottom surface of the anchor baseplate is configured to allow at least a portion of the support structure to abut and lie generally flush thereagainst except for the area of the bottom surface which is covered by post.
Thimble for cyclone separator
A thimble assembly for a cyclone separator comprising a plurality of mounting brackets separately mountable on a shelf of the separator along the perimeter of an exhaust opening, a plurality of segments vertically successively suspended from the brackets, the segments of an upper row being joined to the brackets, the segments of each successive lower row being joined to the segments of a row immediately above, each bracket exclusively serving a chord of an arc concentric with the preferably circular opening that is substantially the same in length as the chord of an arc that a segment spans, a center-to-center chordal spacing of adjacent brackets being the same as a center-to-center distance of an adjacent pair of segments.
Toilet Bolt Cap
A cap for covering a bolt and its nut comprising a base and a cover. The base comprises a cylinder having a side wall and a circumferential groove or a flange on the side wall. Grabbers for a smaller-diameter bolt are on an inside surface of the side wall and extend inwardly and upwardly for engaging threads on the bolt as a pawl. Holders for a larger-diameter bolt are preferably also on the inside surface of the side wall and extend inwardly and upwardly and then bend into sections that extend along the length of the bolt and press against the bolt. The base is pushed onto and engaged with the bolt and covers the nut. The cover comprises an inverted cup having a mating circumferential flange or a groove for engaging the cover with the base. The cover hides the bolt.
Device and method of applying a sealant around a structural adhesive to prevent corrosion
A method of joining first and second vehicle components to make an assembly includes applying structural adhesive and mastic to the first component. The first and second component may be made of different metals, and are brought together and joined at an interface using a linkage. Thereafter, the structural adhesive and mastic are cured. The mastic seals an interior edge of the interface, which is located at an interior of the assembly. A dust sealer is applied and cured to seal the exterior edge of the interface, which is located at an exterior of the assembly. The method results in sealing of all the edges around the entire perimeter of the interface, thus inhibiting water intrusion into the interface and possible corrosion resulting therefrom.
OFF-ROAD VEHICLE SUSPENSION FASTENER
An apparatus is provided for a fastener for off-road vehicle suspension systems. The fastener comprises a flanged bolt that includes a shank with a threaded portion at one end. A washer flange and a head are disposed at an end of the shank opposite of the threaded portion. The washer flange and the head comprise a single component. A flanged nut threadably engages with the threaded portion and includes a hex head and a washer flange. In an assembled state of the fastener, the flanged nut is fully engaged with the threaded portion, such that the shank extends between a finished surface comprising the flanged nut and a finished surface comprising the washer flange. The assembled state includes the finished surface of the flanged nut being parallel with the finished surface of the washer flange, such that a grip distance is disposed between the parallel finished surfaces.
Selected restriction of wireless communication services
Wireless communications services on a wireless communications device are selectively restricted in accordance with a location of the wireless device and specific permission and/or restrictions assigned to the wireless device while within/at the location. Services can be selectively blocked (denied), selectively modified, or selectively allowed on a wireless device based on lists indicating permissibility for specific services for specific devices at/within specific locations. A location can be a zone of coverage of a cellular tower, micro/pico/Femto cell or wireless access point, a sector of a zone of coverage, a geographic region within a zone of coverage, or any appropriate combination thereof.
THERMALLY EXPANDABLE CONNECTOR
A cutting device support for a mining machine includes a ranging arm, a bracket positioned adjacent an end of the ranging arm, and a thermally-expandable coupling member positioned between the bracket and the ranging arm. The coupling member exerts a force on the bracket and the ranging arm to secure the bracket to the ranging arm.
Universal hub and plate assembly for attaching multiple graphic systems on a single frame
A universal hub adapter for a portable display frame assembly for mounting to an outer surface of a display hub of the frame assembly. The universal hub adapter is used to adapt the display hub of the frame assembly for mounting of a first graphics system including a plurality of stretched fabric panels and a second graphics system including a channeled sub-frame for mounting a larger fabric panel. The universal hub adapter can include a faceplate and a threaded post including a threaded portion, a securement plate, a button shaft, and a button head. The threaded portion passes through an aperture of the faceplate and couples to the display hub to secure the faceplate to the display hub. The button shaft and button head couple to one of a stretched fabric panel or a sub-frame assembly.
