The invention relates to a mechanical connection component for connecting a first element (1) to a second element (2). The connection component can be brought from an untensioned position into a tensioned position by exerting a clamping force (F), wherein a pressure pin (7) with a head portion (8) is arranged in a recess of the connection component (5), and a pressure indicator (9) is arranged or can be arranged in the region of the head portion (8). The head portion (8) is arranged so as to exert pressure onto the pressure indicator (9) in the untensioned position of the connection component (5) and not exert any pressure onto the pressure indicator (9) or exert a reduced pressure in comparison to the untensioned position when the connection component (5) is in the tensioned position.

The unit further comprises a washer (214) configured (274) so as to be inserted around one (212) of the nut and the ring, the washer comprising an elastic engagement means (272) for engaging with the other (213) of the ring and the nut in an installation position of the unit, so as to prevent the ring and the nut from rotating relative to each other.

A connecting component with built-in radio frequency identification element which includes a main body and a radio frequency identification element is provided. The main body has a cylindrical body part and a head, wherein the body part has a connecting end and a free end; the head is connected to the connecting end, and the maximum outer diameter thereof is greater than an outer diameter of the body part; the head has an accommodating hole, and an opening of the accommodating hole is formed at a top of the head; the radio frequency identification element can be inserted into the accommodating hole. When the connecting component is used to fixedly connect the rigid object, the radio frequency electronic component provides a space to store database; with the radio frequency identification reader, industry can read the data at any time during the inspection or the maintenance stages, which improves the convenience of obtaining data and the efficiency of operation.

A portion (33) of the ring, projecting relative to the second thread (40), includes a through-hole (60); and a surface (16) of the nut includes a visual marking, configured to be opposite the hole (60) when the nut and the ring are in an installation position, and separated from said hole when the nut and the ring are outside said installation position.
Heavy duty fastening assembly with installation verification
The present disclosure provides a fastening assembly for attachment of a component. The fastening assembly is self-locking, and comprises a housing that presents a barcode, and a retention clip that is configured to form an interlock with the housing and is changeable between an open configuration adapted to freely receive a component, and a closed position adapted to capture and retain the component. The retention clip is slideably moveable within an aperture of the housing between an initial position, in which the retention clip is in the open configuration and the barcode is unreadable, and a final position, in which the retention clip is in the closed configuration and allows for the barcode to be read or scanned to verify installation of the fastening assembly on the component.
Multipurpose person relocation device
A person relocation device includes sheet which defines a person space for a person. The sheet includes a left lateral strap, a right lateral strap, a head end strap and a foot end strap. Each strap is attached to the sheet only at a perimeter thereof and does not extend into the person space. The straps are adapted to be connected to a hoist so that when all of the straps are so connected and tensioned by the weight of the person the sheet suspends the person in a seated posture.

A system and method for monitoring rotation of a nut or bolt. The system comprises an indicator for mounting to the nut or bolt and which is configured to rotate with the nut or bolt. The system further comprises a detector configured to detect a rotational position of the indicator, and a transmitter (242) configured to transmit data indicative of the detected rotational position of the indicator.The method comprises mounting an indicator to the nut or bolt such that the indicator rotates therewith, detecting, by a detector, a rotational position of the indicator - (442), and transmitting, by a transmitter, data indicative of the rotational position of the indicator.
Mounting device and method of supporting an object
Disclosed are mounting devices that allow consumers to quickly and easily determine whether a given mounting device can be used to hang or otherwise support a desired object. The mounting device includes an indicator that is exposed to alert the consumer if the weight of the object exceeds the maximum weight recommendation of the mounting device. If the indicator remains hidden, the mounting device is considered appropriate for the given object.
Endplay or preload settable lock nut
A lock nut is useable for setting a bearing to preload or endplay. A plurality of preload markings are circumferentially spaced apart on the nut. The distance between the preload marking corresponding to a preselected amount of preload applied or reduced on said bearing when the nut is (i) tightened to apply a preload force to said bearing or (ii) loosened to reduce a preload force on said bearing, respectively. A plurality of endplay markings are also circumferentially spaced apart on the nut. The distance between the endplay markings, corresponding to a preselected amount of endplay increased or reduced in said bearing when the nut is (i) tightened to reduce endplay on the bearing or (ii) loosened to increase endplay in said bearing. The use of endplay and preload markings enables setting of a bearing on an axle or spindle to either an endplay setting or a preload setting by adjusting the rotation of the lock nut according to the endplay markings or the preload markings, respectively.
