The head has an underside surface that is adjacent to the first end of the shank and a topside surface opposite the underside surface. A mastic sealant is disposed on at least one of the outer surface of the shank and the underside surface of the head to provide a water-tight seal between the self-sealing fastener and the substrate after the self-sealing fastener is installed in the substrate.
Surgical tool management system
Surgical tool management systems are presented including: a number of surgical tool holders for removably securing a number of surgical tools, where each of the surgical tool holders includes: a base, where the base includes a top surface and a bottom surface, an attachment element coupled with and along the bottom surface, where the attachment element removably couples with a surgical surface, and at least two opposing securing elements disposed along the top surface. In some embodiments, the surgical surface is selected from the group consisting of: a surgical curtain, a Mayo stand, and an instrument table. In some embodiments, the opposing securing elements include: a multi-purpose clip, a wire holder, and a tube clamp.
Intelligent fasteners
A fastener system, which includes a fastener with an RFID tag secured to the fastener, wherein the RFID tag includes an antenna communicatively coupled to an integrated circuit which includes a memory. The fastener system further includes an operating system device, which transmits a command signal containing logistics data to the antenna of the RFID tag wherein the antenna receives the command signal and communicates the command signal containing the logistics data to the integrated circuit.
Torque limiting fastener
A torque limiting fastener comprises a body. The body defines a first body portion and a second body portion that extend from a first end of the body to a second end of the body. The body comprises an inner surface extending from the first end of the body to the second end of the body. The body further comprises an outer surface extending from the first end of the body to the second end of the body. The body yet further comprises an inner threadform extending substantially along a length of the inner surface of the second body portion and a controlled break region. The controlled break region is disposed at an intersection of the first body portion and the second body portion. The controlled break region includes an outer surface break point formed into the outer surface and an inner surface break point formed into the inner surface.
Clamping Device with Force Sensing
A clamp device has first and second jaws movable relative to one another for clamping an object therebetween. A clamp sensor operatively connected to one of the jaws generates a clamping signal representative of a clamping force urging the first and second jaws towards one another. A display is arranged to display a value proportional to the clamping signal which is representative of the clamping force between the first and second jaws. A motor for driving movement of the second jaw relative to the first jaw is operated by a controller that responds to operator commands in a manual control mode and/or which automatically drives the motor so as to maintain the clamping signal measured by the clamp sensor within a prescribed threshold range to apply a constant clamping force between the first and second jaws under an automated control mode.
PIPE FITTING WITH POSITIVE INSTALLATION INDICATOR
Disclosed is an indicator assembly comprising a fastener defining a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and an axis extending from the first end to the second end; a first indicator positioned radially outwardly of the fastener relative to the axis of the fastener; and a second indicator positioned radially outwardly of the fastener relative to the axis of the fastener, wherein the second indicator is axially in between the first indicator and the second end of the fastener upon the fastener being oriented in a first position, and wherein the second indicator is radially inwardly or radially outwardly of the first indicator upon the fastener being oriented in a second position.
Tamper Resistant Identification Rivets and Tamper Evidencing Elements Thereof
According to an embodiment, a rivet includes a first cap having a front side and a back side. The first cap includes a compressed region or a slotted region between a first edge of the first cap and a second edge of the first cap, a unique identifier on the front side of the first cap, a protruding portion extending from a central region on the back side of the first cap, a foam layer adhered to the back side of the first cap with a first layer of adhesive, and a protective film adhered to the foam layer with a second layer of adhesive.
Adjustable height bed skirt
An adjustable height bed skirt is provided for covering a gap defined between a mattress of a bed and a floor surface upon which the bed sits. The bed skirt includes a decking panel with a plurality of fastening strips spaced-apart from one another and extending along the bottom edge and side edges of the decking panel. A skirt panel includes a fastening strip that can be removably coupled to one of the plurality of fastening strips on the decking panel to adjust a vertical drop height that the skirt panel covers as it extends along three sides of the bed. The skirt panel includes corner pleats and the decking panel includes bottom corner portions, each of which do not include the fastening strips. Additionally, color-coded indicia elements are applied to the fastening strips on the decking panel to assist with connecting the skirt panel in the desired position.
