TILTING-PAD BEARING
The invention relates to a tilting-pad bearing (7), comprising: a sleeve (15); a plurality of tilting pads (9); and a frame (8), in which the tilting pads (9) are held.
Radial Bearing Apparatus For Use With Side Forces
A radial bearing apparatus including a housing with a housing bore defining a radial bearing housing surface, a shaft extending through the housing bore and defining a radial bearing shaft surface, and a radial bearing contact interface between the radial bearing housing surface and the radial bearing shaft surface for bearing a variable side force applied to the shaft. The radial bearing contact interface includes an oblique section in which the radial bearing housing surface and the radial bearing shaft surface are oblique to each other when the side force is zero and progressively increase in contact in an axial direction in response to an increasing magnitude of the side force.
Circumferential Seal Assembly with Multi-Axis Stepped Grooves
A circumferential seal assembly suitable for forming a thin film between a rotatable runner and a sealing ring is presented. The assembly includes an annular seal housing, a rotatable runner, an annular seal ring, and a plurality of groove structures. Each groove structure includes a groove and an optional feed groove. The groove includes at least two adjoining steps defined by base walls arranged to decrease depthwise. Two adjoining base walls are disposed about a base shoulder. Each base shoulder locally redirects a longitudinal flow to form an outward radial flow in the direction of the annular seal ring. The base walls are bounded by and intersect a pair of side walls. A side wall includes at least one side shoulder which narrows the groove widthwise and locally redirects the longitudinal flow to form a lateral flow in the direction of the other side wall. Outward and lateral flows separately or in combination enhance stiffness of a thin-film layer between the annular seal ring and the rotatable runner.
DECK BUSHING SYSTEM FOR DRILLING MACHINES
A deck bushing system for a drilling machine having a mast deck including a deck hole is disclosed. The deck bushing system may include a deck bushing sized to be received in the deck hole. The deck bushing may include a tubular member having a generally square shaped flange. Additionally, the deck bushing system may include a deck bushing housing fixedly secured to the mast deck. The deck bushing housing may form a generally V-shape opening toward the deck hole.

Radially preloaded rack bearing
A rack and pinion steering system includes a housing, a rack, a pinion gear, and a radially preloaded rack bearing. The rack is supported by the housing, and the pinion gear is meshed to the rack. The radially preloaded rack bearing is supported and preloaded to the housing and is preloaded to the rack.
STRUCTURAL SUSPENSION OF RADIAL TURRET BEARINGS
A structural suspension of radial turret bearing wheels in a turret bearing comprises a rail support structure mounted on a turret bearing support structure, a circular rail mounted to the rail support structure, and a plurality of radial wheels running on the mainly vertical inner side of the rail.
The suspension includes a vertical flexible shaft, for each radial wheel, supported by an upper and lower support with a part of the shaft protruding with the radial wheel mounted close to the outer end.
The inner side of the rail is a frustum with the shortest radius at the top and an aperture of 2, and the outer mainly planar contacting surface of the wheel has an angle relative to the rotational axis of the wheel, and is overlaid with a convex curvature across the contacting surface.
VR MOTION CONTROL METHOD, MULTI-DIMENSIONAL MOTION PLATFORM AND THRUST UNIVERSAL SPHERICAL PLAIN BEARING
A system for virtual reality (VR) motion control includes a multi-dimensional motion platform and a thrust universal spherical plain bearing. The VR motion control method includes: setting parameters; calibrating a device; obtaining parameters; receiving a head-mounted display device tracking packet and/or an action control packet; determining whether a real-time angle difference is greater than a set dead zone angle; and calculating a difference between a current angle of a head-mounted display device and a current status of the multi-dimensional motion platform, and feeding the difference into an action control system of the multi-dimensional motion platform, to eliminate the difference. The multi-dimensional motion platform uses single-point bearing or single-point lifting bearing and lever traction-type transmission, thereby realizing functions of swinging and rotating in all directions. The thrust universal spherical plain bearing integrates a common thrust universal spherical plain bearing with a plane thrust bearing.
