PROTECTIVE BEARING ASSEMBLY COVER WITH INTEGRATED CLOSURE
20210293275 · 2021-09-23 ·

A protective cover has an inner surface that is sized and shaped to fit the outer surface of a bearing assembly and includes a main body having two partial sections connectable by a lateral closure such as a zipper. Each partial section defines an outwardly projecting portion that corresponds with the bearing assembly's shaft. The two partial sections are joined to surround and protect a bearing assembly, including the adjoining shaft portions. The covered assembly can be further protected from the environment by applying a sealant to the closure device, and to the interface between the cover and shaft.

TURBOCHARGER ASSEMBLY

A turbocharger assembly can include a housing that includes a bore defined by a bore wall and a pin socket that forms an opening in the bore wall; a bearing that includes a pin opening defined by a pin opening surface; a pin, where the pin includes a longitudinal pin axis and a pin surface; a groove in the pin opening surface or the pin surface, where the groove includes an axial length; wherein, in a positioned state of bearing in the bore and the pin in the pin socket with part of the pin in the pin opening, a clearance exists between the bearing and the bore wall, where the groove is in fluid communication with the clearance to form a supply path for lubricant from the clearance to an interface between the pin surface and the pin opening surface.

Ball bearing cam follower for an adjustable aircraft seat

A cam follower assembly includes a ball bearing having an outer ring and an inner assembly which includes two or more segments. The inner assembly is disposed in the outer ring with a full complement of balls disposed therebetween. The outer ring and inner assembly each include a race having a gothic arch cross sectional configuration that causes the balls to roll on two portions of each race.

FLUID FILM BEARING FOR A WIND TURBINE

A fluid bearing for a wind turbine including a bearing housing, a plurality of bearing pads inside the bearing housing and circumferentially distributed around a longitudinal axis of the fluid bearing, a plurality of supporting structures, each supporting structure having at least a first interface detachably connected to a respective seat provided in the bearing housing and at least a second interface detachably connected to a respective bearing pad of the plurality of bearing pads, the supporting structure including an elastomer allowing tilting of the respective bearing pad parallel to the longitudinal axis, the elastomer being interposed between the respective seat and the respective bearing pad is provided.

Yoke to shaft attachment assembly

A shaft assembly includes a yoke. The yoke defines a first bore and a second bore. The first bore extends from a first face towards a second face along a first axis. The first bore has a key that extends towards the first axis. The second bore extends from a third face towards a fourth face along a second axis that is disposed transverse to the first axis. The third face and the fourth face each extend between the first face and the second face.

BEARING UNIT FOR A TURBOCHARGER ROTOR
20200232503 · 2020-07-23 ·

The invention relates to a bearing unit for a turbocharger rotor. The bearing unit comprises a bearing housing and a bearing bush which is arranged in a central bore for radially mounting a turbocharger rotor in the bearing housing. In the region of a first axial end, the bearing bush has a radially outwardly extending projection. The projection is designed to interact with the bearing housing as an anti-rotation safeguard for the bearing bush.

ROLL STAND
20200222957 · 2020-07-16 · ·

A roll stand for the rolling of rolling stock, especially metal products. The roll stand includes at least two chocks for mounting at least one roll, the roll being rotatably mounted in the chocks by its two cylindrical roll necks. A cylindrical neck bushing is arranged on the roll neck with radial play. A rotationally fixed annual axial bearing is axially offset from the neck bushing. The bearing arrangement for the roll necks in the chocks is formed as a plain bearing, preferably a hydrodynamic oil film bearing. When subjected to a load in a rolling process, the neck bushing moves and deforms not only in the radial direction, but also in the axial direction.

Thrust bearing alignment

An assembly for use in a wellbore can include a drill string having an outer housing and a thrust bearing sleeve positioned within the outer housing of the drill string. The assembly can also include a stationary thrust bearing positioned within the thrust bearing sleeve and coaxially around a mandrel extending through a longitudinal length of the thrust bearing sleeve. The assembly can further include an interlocking component including a first end coupled to the stationary thrust bearing and a second end positioned in a recessed portion of a housing of the drill string for preventing the stationary thrust bearing from rotating about a central axis of the mandrel, and for allowing the stationary thrust bearing to rotate about one or more axes perpendicular to the central axis. The assembly can include a flexible member for opposing a rotational force applied to the stationary thrust bearing by another thrust bearing.

Support for centrifuge tubing

The current disclosure presents embodiments directed to, among others, a support and/or clamp (60) for receiving a cylindrical element (e.g., a bearing (90)), which can include a base (62), a pair of opposed receiving members (64) projecting from the base (62) and spaced apart from one other to establish a receiving area (66) configured with a size and shape to removably receive at least one of a circular, cylindrical and spherical object therein, and at least one of a detent (24) and magnet (40) arranged within at least a portion of the receiving area (66), the detent (24) and/or magnet (40) configured to at least one of temporarily retain the object within the receiving area (66) and establish a sound associated with the receiving of the object.
