Preloaded shaft assembly
A shaft assembly is disclosed herein. The assembly includes a shaft, an outer housing, a bearing assembly, and a preload spring. The bearing assembly includes an inner ring mounted on the shaft and defining an inner raceway. An outer ring defines an outer raceway and an annular groove, and the outer ring is arranged within the outer housing. A plurality of rolling elements are arranged between the inner raceway and the outer raceway. The preload spring includes: a washer body positioned within the annular groove of the outer ring, and a flange extending axially from the washer body and contacting the outer housing.
MULTI-ROW THRUST BALL BEARING
It is an object of the present invention to provide a thrust ball bearing which has a large load capacity, can realize thinned wall, and can further withstand a radial load. A pair of raceways (21, 22) include double rows of raceway grooves (23A, 23B) provided along a radial direction on surfaces facing each other. The retainer (40) includes claw-shaped protrusions (42) that protrude from peripheral edges of openings of pockets (41) in a convex manner and are arranged to face each other only in a circumferential direction of the retainer. A maximum width W of the claw-shaped protrusions (42) in the radial direction is smaller than a maximum width L of the raceway grooves (23) in the radial direction.
Two-piece roller retainer cage for a roller thrust bearing
A roller retainer cage for a roller thrust bearing, including a first cage half with an annular portion, a first flange extending axially from an inner peripheral edge of the annular portion and a second flange extending axially from an outer peripheral edge of the annular portion, a second cage half including an annular portion, a first flange extending axially from an inner peripheral edge of the annular portion and a second flange extending axially from an outer peripheral edge of the annular portion, wherein the first flange of the first cage half is disposed radially-outwardly of the first flange of the second cage half, the second flange of the first cage half is disposed radially-inwardly of the second flange of the second cage half, and the first cage half is comprised of a through-hardened metal.
WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLY WITH EXTERIOR SENSORS POSITIONED TO AVOID INTERFERENCE
A wheel hub assembly includes inner and outer hubs rotatably coupled by first and second ballsets of rollers. A plurality of sensors for sensing strain within the outer hub generated by the ballsets are disposed on exterior mounting surface sections. These surface sections are located at radial spacing distances within empirically derived radial boundaries to prevent interference from one ballset affecting the measurements taken by sensors monitoring the other ballset. To prevent excessive distortion of strain measurements taken through the outer hub, a certain amount of hub material is required to smooth signals generated by the first and second rollers passing proximal to each sensor, thus affecting the radial location of the mounting surfaces. Further, the sensor mounting surface sections are also located within empirically derived axial boundaries determined to enable each sensor to sense strain from one ballset while avoiding the detection of strain generated by the other ballset.
Bearing device, compressor and method for producing such a bearing device
A bearing device, a compressor and a method, in which a first radial bearing element is measured in at least the radial direction, an axial distance of the first axial bearing element from the first radial bearing element being measured, the second radial bearing element being measured in at least the radial direction, the first radial bearing element being positioned with respect to the second radial bearing element as a function of the predefined first width of the radial gap, the adjustment arrangement being situated in such a way that the axial gap has the predefined second width.
COVER FOR A BEARING HOUSING AND SUPPORT ASSEMBLY FOR AN ASSOCIATED ROTATING SHAFT
A cover for a bearing housing, in particular intended to be mounted on machinery for the food industry, provided with an end wall transverse to an axis of the bearing housing; with an annular side wall which extends transversely with respect to the end wall; and with an engaging portion towards the bearing housing, which is formed on one end of the side wall opposite to the end wall; a through-opening being formed through the end wall so as to allow the passage of a moving shaft, preferably a rotating shaft, and being surrounded by a reinforcing ring rigidly joined to and integral with the end wall so as to support a sealing element mounted on the through-opening and sealingly engaged by the moving shaft.
ACTUATOR
An actuator is equipped with a body and a slider. Body side rail grooves are formed in side wall portions that constitute the body. On the other hand, slider side rail grooves are formed in the slider. Body side guide rails and slider side guide rails are provided in the body side rail grooves and the slider side rail grooves, respectively. Circular arc grooves serving as ball grooves are formed by body side ball receiving portions of the body side guide rails, and slider side ball receiving portions of the slider side guide rails.
Roller gear cam mechanism
A roller gear cam mechanism is equipped with a cam and a rotating member along the outer circumferential direction of which multiple bearings are arranged. The bearings are equipped with a shaft member and an outer ring portion capable of rotating around the shaft member. The outer circumferential surface of the outer ring portion has an arc shape, and in a cross section of the cam that includes the cam axis line, a contact portion of a cam rib making contact with the outer circumferential surface of the outer ring portion has an arc shape. The arc shape of the outer ring portion is formed so as to conform to the arc shape of the cam rib. The radius of curvature of the arc of the outer ring portion and the radius of curvature of the arc of the cam rib are determined in association with each other.
Charging roll
A charging roll includes a core member, a rubber base material disposed around the core member, and a surface layer disposed around the rubber base material. The average of heights of contours of convex portions on a surface of the surface layer relative to an average cylindrical surface obtained by averaging surface irregularities of the surface layer is equal to or greater than 0.8 micrometers and is equal to or less than 2.1 micrometers. The average of intervals between apexes of the convex portions on the surface of the surface layer is equal to or greater than 6.6 micrometers and is equal to or less than 11.5 micrometers.
