METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SUGAR-REDUCED FRUIT JUICE, IN PARTICULAR APPLE JUICE
A method for producing a sugar-reduced fruit juice (S), in particular apple juice, wherein components of the fruit (A) are pressed after an at least partial comminution or fractioning process for obtaining the fruit juice. Prior to the pressing process using solely one part (16) of the fruit flesh; at least one part of the juice (14) obtained from the pressed fruit flesh is subjected to an at least partial sugar-removal method (S5); and the juice (15) obtained from the sugar-removal method is combined or mixed with the juice from the pressing process of the rind (11) and optionally the juice (17) from the remaining part of the fruit flesh, whereby the production of a sugar-reduced fruit juice (S) is made possible while retaining as much of the secondary plant contents as possible.
Method for citrus fruit processing
The present invention provides a method for citrus fruit processing comprising the steps of introducing liquid citrus fruit material to be processed via an inlet to a centrifugal separator being mechanically hermetically sealed at the inlet and at the liquid outlets; separating the citrus fruit material in the separator to obtain at least a liquid heavy phase and a liquid light phase, wherein the density of the liquid heavy phase is higher than the density of the liquid light phase; discharging the liquid heavy phase via a liquid heavy phase outlet and the liquid light phase via a liquid light phase outlet of the separator; measuring at least one parameter of the discharged liquid heavy phase and/or liquid light phase, wherein the parameter is related to a concentration of the heavy phase in the liquid light phase, or vice versa; and adjusting the counter pressure of the liquid heavy phase outlet with respect to the liquid light phase outlet, or vice versa, based on the measurement in step d) so as to control the concentration of the heavy phase in the liquid light phase, or vice versa, discharged from the separator. The present invention further provides a system for performing the method.

LIQUID AERATION
An aerator for aerating a liquid as the liquid is being poured from a container includes an aerator body configured to be at least partially inserted into the container. The body includes an inlet, an outlet, and a flow control chamber disposed between the inlet and the outlet. A flow control element is movably disposed in the flow control chamber between a first position where the flow control element is spaced away from a stop and a second position where the flow control element engages the stop. The flow control chamber communicates with the outlet when the flow control element is in the second position allowing liquid to be poured from the container and allowing air to be introduced into the flow control chamber for mixing with the liquid being poured from the container to aerate the liquid being poured from the container.
Colorless and clear beverages containing flavorings
A colorless and clear beverage containing a flavoring is provided that masks an unpleasant taste or smell due to the deterioration of the flavoring and to which body is imparted. Whey protein is incorporated in the flavoring containing colorless and clear beverage.

SYSTEM FOR AND METHOD OF PROCESSING SUGAR CANE
A method of processing raw sugar cane juice, comprising: reducing the pH of the sugar cane juice to a pH at which microbiological activity is substantially eliminated; separating chlorophyll from the sugar cane juice; separating particles having a diameter greater than 0.5 microns from the sugar cane juice; denaturing polyphenol oxidase (PPO) in the sugar cane juice by pasteurisation; separating the denatured polyphenol oxidase from the sugar cane juice.
Tablet Compositions Containing Crosslinked Polyvinylpyrrolidone and Their Use in Beverage Applications
Provided are crosslinked polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVPP) compositions and their use in beverage treatment. Provided is a dry, direct compressed tablet comprising at lease 70 wt % crosslinked PVPP. Also provided is the use of said tablet for the filtering and/or removing polyphenol of a liquid, preferable a beverage.

PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR ENRICHING SILICATE IN DRINKING WATER
Disclosed is a process for enriching silicate content in drinking water that includes separating raw water via reverse osmosis into a permeate comprising demineralised raw water and a retentate comprising mineral enriched raw water. The permeate is mixed with a water glass solution comprising sodium silicate and/or potassium silicate. An ion exchange process is used to reduce the concentration of sodium and/or potassium ions in at least part of the mixture. At least part of the retentate is supplied to the mixture after reducing the concentration of sodium and/or potassium ions to provide a silicate-enriched drinking water. Also disclosed is an apparatus for producing a drinking water enriched with silicate. The apparatus includes a reverse osmosis unit, a mixing unit, an ion exchanger, and a feed unit for feeding at least part of the retentate to the mixture after reducing the concentration of sodium and/or potassium ions.
