BEARING ARRANGEMENT AND THUS EQUIPPED PROCESSING DEVICE
In order for contaminants (50) that are in particular liquid or highly viscous or solid and impact in an operating portion (40b) of one or 2 processing shafts (40.1, 40.2) that rotate adjacent to each other not to reach bearings (2) of the shafts (40.1, 40.2) which are arranged axially outside of the processing portion (40b) which could damage the bearings a wiping device (6) is arranged there between which is additionally axially shielded by a bearing plate (3) and a splash guard plate (4) wherein the wiping device provides that contaminants (50) that reach the wiping section (40a) are wiped off at this location and cannot move further through the bearing plate (3) to the bearing (2) that is arranged outside of the bearing plate (3).
System and method for monitoring bearing health in a journal assembly
A system for monitoring the health of one or more bearings of a journal assembly is provided. The system includes a split spacer, one or more vibration sensors, a speed sensor, and a controller. The split spacer is configured to be disposed on a shaft of the journal assembly, the shaft is configured to support the bearings. The vibration sensors are configured to detect vibrations emitted by the bearings. The speed sensor is configured to measure the rotational speed of the bearings. The controller is configured to electronically communicate with the vibration sensors and the speed sensor and calculate a health status of the bearings. The split spacer includes two portions that define a cavity configured to abut the shaft so as to allow the vibration sensors to be disposed inside the split spacer and next to the one or more bearings.
STATE DETECTOR FOR ROLLER BEARING AND ROLLER BEARING DEVICE
The invention includes a sensor mounted in a through-hole formed in the center of a roller of a roller bearing device, a recording device that records detection signals from the sensors, and an installation jig for installing the recording device in the roller. The installation jig passes through the through-hole, and has a first engagement portion that engages with one axial end portion of the roller from an outer side in an axial direction, and a second engagement portion that engages with the other axial end portion of the roller from the outer side in the axial direction.
Oil film bearing
An oil film bearing for supporting a roll neck in a rolling mill, suitable in particular for transmitting high bearing forces when the bearing partners are slightly and slowly moved with respect to each other, has a bearing surface into which are incorporated rods made of a friction-reducing material (e.g., low friction compounds), which extend in a substantially perpendicular direction to the bearing surface. The rods are deformed during heat processing to define a bearing surface. The bearing partner, such as a roll sleeve, rests on the free face of the deformed rods.
ROLL ASSEMBLY FOR ROLLS IN A ROLLING MILL
To increase the load-carrying capacity or rolling capacity of a roll assembly in a rolling mill, throttle elements are used, which shut off the lateral flow of the lubricating film in a partial region between the roll neck and the bearing surface of the roll neck bearing assembly, thereby bringing about an increase in pressure in the lubricating film. At least one throttle element is embodied as an annular segment, forming an angular shut-off region for the lubricant in the annular gap. The invention makes it possible for existing installations to be easily retrofitted, without the need for structural modifications. In the case of new installations, the same load-carrying capacity as before can be provided while the dimensions of the installation space are reduced. The load-carrying capacity of the bearing assembly can be flexibly adjusted based on the dimensions of the shut-off region for the flow of lubricant.
Rolling-element bearing
An axially supporting rolling-element bearing of a rolling mill shaft includes an inner ring having a raceway, an outer ring having a raceway and a plurality of rolling elements on the raceways between the rings. An outer surface of the outer ring includes an opening such as a groove that faces radially outward and contains a seal element. The seal element includes a seal lip that extends out of the groove. When the rolling element bearing is placed in a bore of a housing, the outer ring is spaced from the bore by the seal element.
SYSTEM FOR RETAINING BEARING ASSEMBLIES OF A COMPACT ECCENTRIC CRUSHER
A compact eccentric crusher that includes a system for releasing and retaining the bearing assembly of the crushing roller. The compact eccentric crusher includes a crushing roller supported by a drive shaft. The drive shaft is rotatably supported by a pair of bearing assemblies located on the opposite ends of the drive shaft. The outer housing of each bearing assembly is removably supported in a bearing cradle formed as part of a bearing support structure. A locking assembly is included to hold the bearing assemblies in the bearing cradles to prevent axial and vertical movement of the bearing housings. Each locking assembly includes a locking wedge and a clamping wedge that can be used to clamp the bearing housing in place. The locking wedge can be removed to allow the crushing roller assembly to be lifted out of the compact eccentric crusher.
